Bundy , full of my relatives, home town most of my life, did a tour of the sugar mill , for school ag class 1973. The dam was originally named Monduran Dam, hope spelling right , it's known for great fishing, It's a clay core dam, dad drove us kids to dam when it was built , we watched the rollers rolling the clay core , Not a bad spot to camp opposite airport. Don't mind my rum, My grandfather , mum side , owned a cane farm at Oakwood , you passed it , coming into Bundaberg, also other family members were cane farmers. Big secret making rum ,😂😂 not really, Loved home made rum. Very old mill , flooded a few times. Enjoyed. Vid Cheers Bevan 🇦🇺❤️
@@JS_Adventure Yes it was, the dam is less then half the capacity of the Emerald dam, it's a long dam , you crossed the top end of it well before turnoff, It was built for the Bundaberg irrigation scheme, funding dried up , so was Never 100%finished, work was continued years later , but I'm not sure if was completed to its original plans. The dam position for wall was ideal, but it hasn't a large catchment area, so needs good rain to fill. Hope I'm not boring Yous Cheers Bevan
We only recently had a little holiday up in Bundy. Stayed at Bargara. My wife has family that live there. Should have a look at the Bundaberg Barrel. Where they make the Bundaberg soft drinks.
We originally thought it was the same company but couldn’t really find that much information, would’ve loved to have seen it as it’s still a family run company I believe.
They are call cicadas and can become very noisy. Hinkler Park is named after Bert Hinkler who he was born in Bundaberg and was a pioneer aviator and inventor, first person to fly solo from England to Australia and solo across the Southern Atlantic Ocean.
Hi Guys My wife and I have been following your travells for a longwhile now and it's become our regular viewing entertainment. We have caravenned for over 35 years and the last 9 years in a motorhome. The change was made because of our location and age. I also like your background music, tell me do you use any of Matt James's music? as some you have used sounds much like his style. Also did you look around Tannum Sands during yor stay at Benaraby? If you're travelling south in the next few months we might meet up and have a chat and share some pointers. KIndest Regards Robert & Christine
Cheers mate!! 🍻🍻 All of our music comes straight from TH-cam as royalty free, unfortunately most artists charge to use their music. Unfortunately we didn’t get to tannum sands as we had a couple of things booked in
🤣🤣 She certainly did! We only just went through Maryborough yesterday! Hope you didn’t get hit too hard from the floods! It was incredible to see the level that the river came too! 🍻🍻
I see you guys leave your windows cracked a little to let air flow when your parked. Would you guys be interested in some weathershields to stop any weather getting in and gives a little more security?
Would love some mate! Have never really thought about weathershields, have all ways quickly jumped up and ran outside to put them up when it starts raining! 🤣 feel free to email us! jsadventureyt@gmail.com

Cheers mate! 🍻🍻 Was a great tour for the price! And one that we’d easily recommend without being able to film and show TH-cam!
Really loved the raw/used buildings and machinery getting around! Can tell that everything has a purpose there and is being used!
