That first fight reminded me of another reason ki stunning and cancelling are dumb. That guy did not know male saiyan combos. He ki blasted as an extender when the 5 light into 2 heavy combo is step cancellable.

Try this build but with “time to get serious…I guess” that soul doesn’t have any real downsides
