Awwww... Tilly is wearing her new overalls? Those are nice sized, round pumpkins to carve. How cute Autumn eats the seeds. Love the zig zag cutting around the top. How cute the chickens and ducks enjoying the pumpkin guts. LOL Adorable video. Thanks for taking us along...
Your family is so blessed to have you as their mom. Im so sorry about your ex husband. My mom had severe schizophrenia. Wow, the stories .... Awful. Hugs to you and your beautiful children.
That was really fun! Your house and family and where you live, reminds me of The Waltons. Im curious what area you’re in. I want to move to a small town that isn’t so touristy. I live in a beautiful area in the smokies of WNC near TN, but it’s become so very populated, and very expensive. Then there’s the tourist aspect, which I get, I just like more quiet. Anyway, I looked for your mailing address, to see what area, but I don’t see one. I think the children’s costumes turned out so nice. I know all the neighbors enjoy them coming to trick or treat. What a nice fire dept and little town. Love the views. I don’t want to leave the mountains and 4 seasons, so somewhere like that would be nice. It’s so difficult to find a place, especially when it’s just me. Don’t need a huge home anymore. Your pumpkin dinner looks so good! Those are nice neighbors who gave you the gourds. I miss getting firewood and having a fireplace and stove. I love that process of heating.
Word of mouth. I've offered to help friends with yard projects and told them me or my teens are looking for work. They tell their friends and neighbors. I wish it was spreading faster. I kinda expected it to because in Utah jobs fell in my lap that I didn't even want. So I expected God would bless me with jobs here too. And He has, but not as fast as I expected. And I've had to do a lot of work--put myself out there. I've offered some on community facebook pages. And talked to people in the library or grocery store. Talk to people in the halls at church. It's embarrassing but I try to be cheerful and humble about it. I really do want to help others. And I do want to provide for my family. And I don't want to be tied to an 8-5 job. So it's worth it. With the big retirement community we live in I thought we'd find more people needing their yards taken care of but maybe we haven't put ourselves out there enough. And we don't go to enough community events because I'm working, but I try to have faith it'll all work out. We'll get the jobs we need when we need them.
The trees are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! Definitely not sick of seeing them. Pumpkin carving looked fun. Nice job! 🎃

I recently learned that a used canning lid works great as a scraper for the inside of pumpkins.

If you you a metal serving spoon it scrapes the guts out easier
How do you find all these people who need help with things?

What a great idea! I've never heard of that. Thanks for telling me. Now we need to carve some more, haha!
