Large Black Pine Bonsai BY Oshima Kenji
１．樹の紹介と経緯
国風盆栽展（７年前）に出品した黒松の名品です。
数年前、葉の色、芽の生育が悪くなたため、一回り大きいサイズの木箱に移し、２年間、培養していました。
最近、葉の色、芽の生育状態が回復し、元気になりました。
そこで、今回、鉢に戻すことにしました。
その植替え作業をご覧ください。
２．作業手順
（１）木箱の底の針金を外す。
（２）鎌を入れて、木箱から根を分離させる。
（３）木箱から取り出す。
（４）表面の土を丁寧に取り除く。
根の整理、矯正
根にしっかりと日光を当て、根を成長させる。
（６）横面の土を削り、根を鋏で切る。
（７）底面の土を削り、根を鋏で切る。
（８）鉢の準備と土の配合
（９）植え込み
針金で固定する。
土を入れる。
（１０）苔を貼る。
３．注意事項
時間が掛かる場合、根が乾燥するので、水やりをする。

1. "Introduction of this bonsai tree" and "History"
A masterpiece of Kuromatsu exhibited at Kokufu Bonsai Exhibition (7 years ago).
A few years ago, the color of the leaves and the growth of the buds had deteriorated, so I moved them to a larger size wooden box and cultured them for 2 years.
Recently, the color of the leaves and the growth of the buds have recovered, and I'm well again.
So I decided to put it back in the bonsai pot this time.
Please see the repotting work.
2. Work procedure
(1) Remove the wire from the bottom of the wooden box.
(2) Insert a sickle and separate the root from the wooden box.
(3) Take out from the wooden box.
(4) Carefully remove the surface soil.
Organizing and correcting roots
Properly expose the root to sunlight to grow the root.
(6) Scrap the soil on the side and cut the root with scissors.
(7) Shave the bottom soil and cut the root with scissors.
(8) Preparation of Bonsai pot and mixing of soil
(9) Implantation
Secure with wire.
Put the soil.
(10) Put moss.
3. Notes
If it takes a long time, water it because the roots become dry.

Master an absolutely superb tree. Just a thought why did you not make the box so you could take 3 sides off to allow easier removal?

I have seen in previous video that many of your tree are in wooden box. Do you use this technique as a preventive action, every X numbers of years? or do you put trees when you feel tree are loosing strength?

They grow trees in these big wooden pots. Because the trees roots faster and has more space to move around
