Hey fellow husky rider here, I've been with mine since 2018 and I am still in love with it, bought it new and I'm at 30000km with no problems just maintenance stuff. Mine is a 2016 btw, hope you enjoy yours
@DoesGarage just found your video. Can't believe how alike our stories are. I previously owned a 21 gsxr750, later upgraded to a current gen 17 gsxr1000r which had 1000ks on it when I bought it. Loved those bikes but after owning a klx230sm as a runabout I fell in love with the SM life. Was torn between letting the gixxer go and trying out a 24 701sm but boy am I glad I did. The 701 on the street just does everything BETTER. Totally agree with you on the point of this bike making you a better rider. My opinion, the 701 is like a cheat code for riding at pace, so easy and smooth. Enjoy your 701, I know I will be 😁.
@jasonportch716 yo! Thanks for tuning in mate. Pretty wild how similar our stories are hey. 👌 SM is just a different world... I will probably own another supersport again, but I'll never get rid of the sumo. 😎
8:15 totally agree with that point! I bought a new SuperDuke in February and fuck me, I miss my KTM 690…. Glad it’s still in my garage and I guess I’ll ride her again next spring💪
I've ridden a fully de-resteicted MT07 & they aren't even in the same field. This 701 has almost 20,000kms and has had no issues. And even if it did have issues, it would be Totally worth it. 🤙
@@DoesGarage That really makes me wanna buy a SM. I think I'll get in trouble with it tho so I might get the 07 just to not lose my license again hahaha
Heaps of power??? What have you ridden to think the 701 has heaps of power??? I a load of bikes and the 701 is a basic runaround. And all the best of stuff on it and still not really powerful.
Yes... heaps of power for an oversized dirtbike. I've obviously ridden faster bikes, this isn't what I'm saying. Any more power on this bike would make it unrideable...
@@DoesGaragebro I think most multi bike riders got it.. I used to say this about the 450x sumo while owning a zx10r, clearly different power ratings but for the 450's weight and handling it has loads of power.. very interested in the husky though, think it will be my next.

Yo! Thanks for tuning in legend. 30000km is a damn lot of fun 😎

Nice videos mate, love the husky 701 😍
Thanks mate. Cheers for tuning in. 👍
Wicked! You explained this bike perfectly. Can confirm quick shifter is awesome.
Thanks for tuning in. Is your quick shifter aftermarket? Or is it a newer model?
@ I bought a 2024 broke it in and sadly parked it for the winter so I’m living vicariously through your videos. Lol
@Rex_holez oh man. Luckily it doesn't get too cold here. But I'll be sure to keep the 701 content coming in for you.
Great video ❤ and great bike love my 701!! 😊
Thanks so much for tuning in. 🙏

😎 Too much fun.
Yea, one of my buddies has a 1290 & he wants to sell it to get back on a 690.
@ I’ll guess I keep them both since the Supermoto is horrible for longer tours
@katagrax that's fair... especially the seat 😅
Could you compare it to the MT-07? I wanna buy the 07 for the reliability, but the sumo life seems so fkn fun.
Nice video!

@brikt8826 do it... you won't regret it. Nobody will remember the things you didn't do. 😎

@matthewravo125 Yes, exactly... have you ridden a 701/690?
@@DoesGarage no but I rode a friends 510smr a long time ago and it was the most fun I've had on 2 wheels haha . Have to imagine the 701 is stellar.
@matthewravo125 that's exactly what everyone says about the sm 👌
