I agree with this episode. I will say you don't go through as many stages of change when you marry later. The stages you are talking about have a lot to do with finding yourself and maturing. I married at 38 years old. I had gone through the changes you talk about by the time I married. We have been married 21 years now. What a blessing your marriage has stayed strong through all of this. I think many marriages fail because they get married too young,, don't know enough of who they are and marry the wrong person. Blessings to you both!
Andrew is INCREDIBLY humble!!! It is difficult getting accepted into Vanderbilt let alone surviving and graduating ESPECIALLY with an Engineering major. I can tell he is an engineer by the way he thinks. Shawn, you are VERY fortunate having him for a husband !!! A gentleman and a scholar.
My husband and I have been married for 30 years and we’ve definitely changed. We had mine, his and ours which comes with its own set of challenges. Life flies by so fast. I’m glad we’re not the same people we were 30 years ago!
30 years married to the same man, both of us definitely way different than when we married! I feel like I did not even know who I was back then, let alone knowing or understanding him…..but hopefully we have changed for the better over the years!
Your solo episodes are my favorite. Your goals/plans for 2023 is an episode I'm keeping my eye out for! I've listened to last year's goals episode at least 10 times
I've been married for 8 years now and from moving cities, change in careers, adding kids, pandemic, loss of friends and family we are very different people. It's not always a good thing either, but that's a topic for another day
Oh man, my husband and I are SO different from what we were when we married. We've been through a lot and trauma, and good times alike change a person. Grows them and makes them better or bitter... I'm so glad we both have chosen to be better, and we are growing up in God together!! ♡♡
Funny that you mentioned around the 10:50 mark that the your mission is to get us to look forward to the family life. Prior to this, I was just thinking how much I am looking forward to the family life when the time comes. Thank you both for being so authentically honest!
Really enjoyed this video. Married 27 years, I can totally see how are relationship has changed as we have grown into different people as our relationship has matured.
I DONT GET ANY NOTIFICATIONS? Just from this channel I have them on ALL and is anyone else not getting them anymore in the last 3-5 months and today this video just popped up and said it was today but when I am watching it the date it says 5 days ago?? Anyone can help me learn how to fix it or advice on what I can do for the notifications to come back?
My dad said it at every wedding that I've been to as well as ours, he said that when you get married you marry three people, 1. the person that they are, 2. the person you think they are, and 3. the person that they become as a result of being with you. So true and also helps you turn the magnifying glass on yourself when you complain about how they changed LOL
Wanted to jump on and say how Sean is such a sweetheart, but too hard on herself at times. Be as kind to yourself as you are to others. You are both such a great couple and I love watching you and your darling kiddos.
To be fair the first two people weren't necessarily married, technicality sorry I can't help myself. Intriguing title and I do like the concept of dating/being with different versions of one person
Accepting Jesus, allowing the Holy Spirit and Gods words on marriage to guide life in marriage is pivotal . While we want for our partner the think we’ll of us their option is never number 1. ✝️❤

I've only been married 8 years and we are definitely different people now than we were before

This was amazing and a refreshingly honest dialogue.

You guys are a great couple to encourage/motivate other couples.
I wasn’t he dishes whilst listening to y’all and I checked out at the end there Andrew, then realized you were still talking 😂😂😂😂
The end has me laughing so hard 😂😂 “I would be such a douche if I was not married… I still am a douche” 😂
