That is such a beautiful yarn!! You are incredibly talented at teaching and showing us! Are you a teacher? You go through it with calmness and you don’t drown us in words or music, and I feel I learned more from your one video than the previous 20 i watched from other creators! ❤
I'm happy to hear that my videos are helpful! I'm flattered to hear that you think I am a teacher, but I'm actually not. I just like to take my time to explain everything I know that could be helpful, that's why my videos are so long! 😊
What an awesome tutorial. Thank you!!! Most knitting machine tutorials are for reversible hats and yours is so easy for single layer. Can’t wait to get it done. ❤
Thank you so much. I’m going to use your method to try and make one for a friend who is losing her hair through cancer journey. She doesn’t like the wig they offered, but likes the close knit hats. I’ll have to guess on number of rows unless you know. I love the way you gathered the top stitches and of course the crochet edge.l.
I don’t understand how the 48pin makes a smaller circumference for the baby hat vs the adult hat. Can you please explain how you got the baby size circumference on the larger machine?
This baby hat was made with Sentro 40 needles. If you have a knitting machine with 48 needles, then the "secret" to get a smaller circumference for the baby hat vs the adult hat is in the tension. Run the yarn through the smaller hole of the tension fork (closest to the machine). If the yarn is too thick and it doesn't go through the tension fork, then run the yarn through your hand keeping a tight tension. I will make a video and send you the link.
It's for counting the rows. This machine didn't come with a row counter so she's added a digital counter. The yellow is one part; it sends a signal to the white part every time the machine goes around and the number changes. I bought one on Amazon several years ago for a different machine. I couldn't figure it how to attach it but it's working fine on this machine. It's a lot more reliable than counting the rows manually.
amzn.to/3rTte7e this is what I use for my machines, once a year. I don't know why, but there are some days when they make noise, and some days they don't. I know that the humidity affects how the yarn runs through the machine, maybe it affects the machines as well.
@Alina Hera Designs hi, do you have a tutorial on how to lubricate the knitting machine? I use white lithium grease but I don't know how much to apply and where.
I love watching all your lessons, you take your time and speak clearly
Happy to heat that! Thank you for watching!
Thank you so much. I just ordered a knitting machine and this will be the first thing I'll try. ❤

What is the size of the sewing needle you used?
My machine refuses to knitting the red heart super saver yarn. Do you do anything to the yarn so it can go smooth in the machine? 🤗
I use a yarn winder to make the yarn into a cake; when I do that I make sure to apply some lotion onto my left hand that holds the yarn! 😊

What is the yellow thing hooked to the inside of yr machine.

Thank you for the reply. I appreciate it!
How many rows for big kids and adults hats?? Thank you
Depending on the yarn that you use, you need approximately 45 to 50 rounds for an adult beanie.
Would you do same row count for sentro 48
Do you oil your machines? They are so quiet
