He joined a local detecting club where he met and became good friends with legendary metal detectorist and author, Terry Shannon. Jim had the opportunity to interview Terry and see his very impressive collection of metal detecting finds and we are sharing that with you here on yerdigginit in a 3 part series. A few years ago I brie met Terry Shannon as he was leaving Melbourne Beach and I was arriving to detect. I often meet fellow detectors at that Beach. I have detected from Wabasso to Cocoa Beach but no Spanis channelh treasure yet. You may see me occasionally detecting with my son J Man on the Metal Sharxs. I will be 80 in May and am a native of Florida.
