Lacrosse is actually the original national sport of Canada, hockey was added later on. It was originally played by the native americans except they played it in a much larger scale. Games would last for days and the field played on would be kilometers long.
Yup and none of us know how to play.
You have stick. Stick has small net. Ball goes in small net. Throw ball at big net. That was all I was ever able to discern. Oh and the other team hits you with their sticks while you try.
I'm from Virginia in the USA and I play lacrosse. It's not that big in Virginia but the more north you go the bigger it gets.

In real lacrosse you can hit their stick with yours or a full on body check can work too but you would have to do it in certain ways not to get a foul. If your school (providing your still there) has a team I recommend going to a practice. It's the best sport I've ever played
