- Ultraman Episode 35:
On a patrol of space, Daisuke Arashi and Mitsuhiro Ide stumble onto "The Ultra Zone," an area of outer space they liken to a "Monster Graveyard." Upon their return, once Captain Toshio Muramatsu reads their report, whose contents break Akiko Fuji down in tears and motivate Mura to agree to memorial services for the destroyed monsters there, Shin Hayata flees the Science Patrol control room in remorse. He then laments what he (Hayata) has had to do, and ignites the Beta Capsule to transform. Ultraman is in agreement with the Science Patrol that memorial services should be held. These take the Buddhist form, and Hayata participates in spite of being personally atheistic.
But in the course of a mission to Mars that is being conducted, a monster called Seabozu is inadvertently brought to Earth from the Monster Graveyard. The Science Patrol attempts to return it back to where it belongs, and so does Ultraman, using up enough energy to make his warning light blink in the process. Hayata then suggests making the rocket that will bring Seabozu back to space resemble Ultraman.

When Ide said "Idiot! You can't even fly.", Seabozu must have really felt that, and I have to say, this episode is kinda sad
The kaiju no wins
Darn, this episode was deep, man. A budhist funeral for the defeated kaijus, and a ghost-like suffering kaiju...that is feelin, geez, such well interpreted back view of the story. I also like that Seabozu is a skelleton with dorsal fins similar to godzilla because that makes me think of the kaiju as a manifestation of the spirits of the other kaijus in this show, and its very meaningfull that a "godzillian" figure represents them, since he is the King of Monsters. Yet theres some hipocritical elements, in this episode, Ultraman felt guilt but still beated the hell out of the poor phantom! Twice!! Gee, be nice and diplomatic for once, Ultraman! But overall, a very, very deep episode. Im sure it will be really hard to forget this one. Bravo
Well Ultraman literall pulverize 2 monsters into bloody messes in previous episodes, doesn't expect such courtesy from the guy.

I remember first time watching this episode and i felt really sad but it became one of my favorite episodes due to its message that violence and war is not always the answer to everything.

The funny this was when they decided Monster Funeral was so ironic, it was a big insult to Ultraman then when Seabozu entered the scene ALL HAD STOPPED 😂😂😂 it was hilarious 🤣🤣🤣

I mean these monster kinda do destroy everything hell some enjoy it but most are just giant animals that possibly don't know what they do but you can't blame people for protecting their planet

poor seabozu 🥺
i really like this episode adressing the fact that some of the monsters were just damn wild animals that were too big for their own good (gamakujira, gavadon, red king II) and some of them were pulled out of their natural habitat (gomora, goldon, kemular)
but something that absolutely RUINS this episode's premise is the fact that in the very next episode, zaragas accidentaly stumbles into a city and gets killed, IT LITERALLY RUINED THIS ENTIRE EPISODE'S PREMISE ABOUT THE MONSTERS JUST BEING ANIMALS THAT DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENS AROUND THEM AND YET THEY KILL HIM WITHOUT HESTITATION

Maybe, if they feel so bad, they could stop killing all the monsters!
To elaborate on this, After Jamila’s episode, The SSSP slowly starts to realize that the killing against innocent monsters is wrong, But it’s not until this episode that they’re hit with the reality of it. If you notice, after this episode, The SSSP only kills monsters either as a last resort or if they’re actually evil
