It's a 1.0 specific glitch and is only applicable to ground bosses. Basically doing a parry move, taking damage, and pausing all on the same frame makes you and the boss move during the pause screen. This allows you to retry and exit to map after the knockout. Doing so will skip the result screen, flagpole animation, new route animation, and soul contract animation, saving a ton of time. Exiting to map without retrying first will ONLY skip the result screen, so retrying first is obviously ideal.
