Well played, with some little failures, Grandfather's Hardrock seems not to be so easy like some classic-standards, but this is fortunately a human factor. Unfortunately during the Soli the Mix is not optimzed or the leading melody must be more supported by the arrangment.
The performance is impeccable, the arrangement is stimulating, and the orchestration is really excellent. However, and this is absolutely not a criticism, an entire orchestra is not able to give the same climax and the same swing which a small band of 5 boys managed to give playing few instruments. I liked it very much though 👏
Just came across this , Speed King .not bad ,BUT too slow , not played with enough urgency quicker tempo , Black Night was about right ;-) ,fume ant Da Wasser was about right too ... IMHO ...
Mi permetto di dissentire con la descrizione al video: questi non sono arrangiamenti, sono piuttosto orchestrazioni e pure mal equilibrate. Mancano svariate seconde voci e articolazioni presenti negli originali. Per es. la progressione di quartine che originariamente era dell'organo in Highway Star qua è di un paio di flauti che non emergono dalla massa degli accompagnamenti. Sembra che abbiate lasciato basso e batteria come negli originali e abbiate affidato la voce principale di canto e assoli a una sezione alla volta scelta discutibilmente. Questo lavoro è uno spreco di impegno per questi musicisti e un ascolto che non arricchisce l'ascoltatore con i colori e i pregi di un'orchestra.
