Brass ensemble in traditional costume plays popular march in their hometown

The "Erzherzog-Carl-Marsch", op. 562 by the composer Hermann Josef Schneider was actually called "Erzherzog-Carl-Franz-Josef-Defiliermarsch" and was probably dedicated to the Archduke heir to the throne (from October 1914). The year of origin is unknown.
The Harmoniemusik Schruns is one of the oldest brass bands in Vorarlberg, the year of its founding is considered to be 1865. In addition to its countless performances at home, the Harmoniemusik has also made numerous trips abroad, including France, Italy, Spain and Germany.

The original Montafon men's costume has been the club dress since 1924. It consists of black low shoes with a traditional costume buckle, white knitted socks, black loden knee breeches, a white shirt with black mesh, a red waistcoat, a dark blue jacket and a black top hat. The female musicians wear the same costume, but with a pleated skirt and black ladies' shoes with a traditional costume buckle. The sutlers wear the original Montafon women's costume.
