Very VERY nice Heli... My grandfather was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam and he flew one of the big dual rotor personnel transporters. He could make that helicopter do everything except sit up and beg for table scraps... He could land the back half on a slope and keep the other half airborne. Amazing. But XHeli did an awesome job recreating the CH46. R.I.P Grand dad. Wish he were here to see these great replicas
It's because of guys like this that you enjoy all the freedom that you have today. Which you don't appreciate. Thank you NightFlyer for posting these great videos. And even more for your service to our country. Don't you live in SD? I live in ND.
You reminded me of a kid in a candy store as you opened up that box. Ofcourse that would be my reaction too! Youre right, the heli's quality looks great!
really stable, really cool... I just got mine and am about to change the TX to left hand throttle - get too confused working in reverse. nice flying, & great video.
man you are totally awesome at flying helicopters. i have a twister aggressor 4ch and i take it out almost every day to try to do the stuff you can do :D
Cool new toy dave! I heard bad things about xheli on rc universe but I'm glad you had a good experiance with them. Hehe it showed that I had the first view
Nice review Dave :-) 5* I have about 20 flights with the BladeMCX and it's a bit more dificult than flying planes but I can now do forward figure 8 and spot landings. Also got a sim for practicing airplane 3D and the basics of heli flying during the winter months.
Dave, it's weird how an ad (out of all the others) for that exact heli from xheli comes up right next to this video. No biggie, just wanted to point that out. Also, thanks for the reply to my last comment.
Very cool!! I sure wouldn't have tempted fate by taking the maiden flight inside my garage though. My version of the video would have included a crash.
Hey once again sorry for all the questions but i want to find out one more thing, where do you get the items for a night setup such as ''tube lighting'' or LED lights that could all fit on and stay on the heli. Along with the fact that they all need to be battery operated. thanks and by the way i finally got around to seeing your fishing LOL wow. nice catch. Lata
Hey, thanks for responding to my comment and i know you get a bunch of these, but i must ask you one more question. What are the biggest pros and cons of this model? You do not have to be specific i just want to know the basics. Thanks. O ya i have to say in your Christmas story video had some interesting voices and that tree was immense. Later.
i wonder how big of a fish you can haul in with this chinook. :) Sir, would this heli be stable outdoors at say gusting 5-10 mph winds? thanks for reviewing this. your expertise and guidance are very appreciated, especially for an RC rookie like myself.
cool video !! love the stability of this heli. But just for a personal point of view, I know that u dont crash much but if u do its better if u untighten a bit ur blades, not too loose but thight enough that they stay in the right position and if u hit them they go out of position and dont break
Hey, the video was extraordinarily good. But i must ask, is there a certain dead weight this helicopter can carry. Ive heard that its around 2 pounds which is pretty good. I just want to know because i purchased the fire version and I'm gettin it in a few days and i want to see if i can get a night setup on it for a video. thanks
Hey Dave... yet another great video! I have just bought a Walkera 4#3Q Cobra... any chance you could get your hands on one and give us a flight demo/review? I really would love to see this helo flown in the hands of an expert.
try fishing with that. heheh. I bet it started to get windy in there for sure. Looks like that turbulance that is bouncing off the walls hits a heavy, stable machine so I guess It makes it a bit easier to fly. And it is camoflage so it would work a bit like a real osprey. really cool. 5/5 happy flying.
WOW! is that thing stable enough to put the throttle up and trim to perfection and dont touch a single thing on the transmitter and it will hover, obviously not in 1 spot, thats impossible, but im sure you catch my drift ;) excellent review dave and im glad... you got something rather different this time :) 5 stars!
could you explain how it flies if we disregard its coaxials, step by step: go forward = both rotors forward cyclic? yaw = cyclic? aileron = cyclic? is there any channel controlled by differntial engine speed, and with a help of a gyro?
Hi Dave Q: is the CH47 sea King any different from the CH46, NitroRCL sells a CH47 Chinook for 229.00$. they look the same greath video by the way your always fun to watch with your buddy
does the forward fly control allow for variable speed? I mean going forward not up , what would you say the range of that speed is? also which gimble controls the speed forward control?
hey dave , i was amazed at this . unfortunatly i have found it hard to fund my rc interests , as i am young , 14 infact this christmas , so any amount of those vouchers would be amazing , as i see you offered in the beginning of this spectacular video , i hope you accept , thanks!
wow that looks good but to scared to get 1 cus I keep crashing my trex 600 and cant get the training program to calibrater my controller to clear view rc simulator. thanks wes
I don't get why this has two co-axial shafts (four sets of blades altogether). I thought these tandem helicopters (front and back shafts) automatically cancel the torque of each other? So I would guess that coaxial blades on each wouldn't be necessary.
What kind of stuff have you picked up with it :P And has anyone gone to the lengths of making an RC crane heli that picks thins up and/or fires missiles?
Whats number of Channels does this Heli have? And can it's radio receiver be removed and placed in to another heli / plane? My F-15 needs a transmitter and receiver, which costs as much as the plane itself, but if I can buy a new heli alongside the radio equipment I'd like to know. Cheers.
My dad got a similar one for me for christmas but it's a different brand, he bought it from ebay and it flies poorly. Bad radio connection and crashed it. I broke one wheel off of it on impact but now I am going to tell my old man to get them from X-Heli. :)
What is the cheapest heli that can lift a 9 volt batterie because i have a spy camera that i want to put on one and im a total noob when it comes to this stuff.
OK, the model being flown is a CH-46. The CH47 Chinook is the Army verson of the heavy lift helicopter. I have over 4000 hrs flying the CH-46 and would love to buy this model however, the model is not available on the website that is published. Anyone have a clue of where we can buy this model????
yes yes I know u cant compare the 2, but its a good heli for kids and beginners, especially in winter where u flie in ur room ^^, butr yeah,I find it better, much better than mosquito from T2M or picoz. but the heli u have on ur vid its a really good one , I dont doubt it.
How come I never seen any nitro powered Helos (of coarse you wouldn't be test flying in your garage)? Is electric your preference? I like electric just because it is cheaper and easier to handle. But I've been driving nitro cars and trucks and will never go back to electric.

Excellent review! Thanks for letting me fly it today. That thing is the grand daddy of all indoor helis! Flies like a dream! 5 stars!!
"This is one of the smoothest set of sticks i've felt in a long time"
You reminded me of a kid in a candy store as you opened up that box. Ofcourse that would be my reaction too! Youre right, the heli's quality looks great!
My 91 year old dad has an RC CH-47. I was blown away when I saw it. Also LOL'd.
really stable, really cool...
I just got mine and am about to change the TX to left hand throttle - get too confused working in reverse.
nice flying, & great video.
I really like how much you enjoy the helicopter once you open it up XD
man that thing is making some power
and thank you for your service may god be with you.
man you are totally awesome at flying helicopters. i have a twister aggressor 4ch and i take it out almost every day to try to do the stuff you can do :D
Good demo, can tell by your impression that you're very pleased.
I now know what I want for X-Mas, nice flying & great video Dave
Semper Fi there big guy!! Nice flight!!..
Sheesh.. as if I don't have enough toys..
Now you made me want one of these!!
I like all your reviews, bro. Thanks for all the info.
Cool new toy dave!
I heard bad things about xheli on rc universe but I'm glad you had a good experiance with them.
Hehe it showed that I had the first view
That thing is so cool and very stable in the air.I wonder if you could attach a hook on a string to pick things up with it?
Great video, loved your Heli, very nice, and thank you for taking the time to make this video!! I want one! 5*'s!
I'm impressed how you fly that thing in your garage. Very hard.
Nice review Dave :-) 5*

That was Xtra COOL!!! GREAT Flying!! Thanks for sharing!!
Very cool!!

G'day dave like your review so much im going to get one.
have you had any problems with it at all ?
cheers
Shane
i wonder how big of a fish you can haul in with this chinook. :)

thanks for reviewing this. your expertise and guidance are very appreciated, especially for an RC rookie like myself.
I love your videos, thank you. Cool lawn mower btw
cool video !! love the stability of this heli.

just wanted to say because of your channel I started flying v911 became a pro at that and moved on to the v977. I got bit by the bug😋
WOW! is that thing stable enough to put the throttle up and trim to perfection and dont touch a single thing on the transmitter and it will hover, obviously not in 1 spot, thats impossible, but im sure you catch my drift ;)
excellent review dave and im glad... you got something rather different this time :)
5 stars!
It's a nickname for it because they usually fly at night and it's sounds like i'm making this up but it's 11:00 pm and one just flew over my house!
You should do all reviews by First:unboxing, Second:Building, Last:Maiden Flight
Beautiful! Very stable!
it takes me forever to put an airplane like that together! lol ur pro at it! oo i loove ur videos!
could you make a video on the difference between different channel helicopters?
could you explain how it flies if we disregard its coaxials, step by step:
go forward = both rotors forward cyclic?
yaw = cyclic?
aileron = cyclic?
is there any channel controlled by differntial engine speed, and with a help of a gyro?
Cheers Dave, I responded to this one, I'll try again.
Thanks
Mike
Hi Dave Q: is the CH47 sea King any different from the CH46, NitroRCL sells a CH47 Chinook for 229.00$. they look the same
greath video by the way your always fun to watch with your buddy
Well flown great looking model cool!
If it's an indoor heli then you would need quite lage space to fly it in, right? Or can i fly this heli in a regular room?
@limmylimm because there isnt a tell Rotors it helps with the Torque i think... if it didnt have a tell rotor the body of the chopper would just spine
great and nice looking heli!
does the forward fly control allow for variable speed? I mean going forward not up , what would you say the range of that speed is? also which gimble controls the speed forward control?
Nice review
ive never flown a rc heli before im gonna get a mini apache ah-64 to see how i get on then ill get this one u land the heli so softly good piloting
What kind of Bike is that i ride a 02 Shadow Spirit 1100 my self Great vids
do you get a discount on all these planes and helicopters for reviewing them? cause you seem to have alot.
Hello, Have you done any fine-tuning before the first flight ....???
hey dave , i was amazed at this . unfortunatly i have found it hard to fund my rc interests , as i am young , 14 infact this christmas , so any amount of those vouchers would be amazing , as i see you offered in the beginning of this spectacular video , i hope you accept , thanks!
you got some amazing skills :) im 13 and wanna start with this hobby. can you recomend a heli for me?
How come it needs counter-rotating props? Don't you get the same effect if the front and back rotors turn in opposite directions?
It seems to me that wall adapters are included in a lot of Heli's these days
wow that looks good but to scared to get 1 cus I keep crashing my trex 600 and cant get the training program to calibrater my controller to clear view rc simulator. thanks wes
Dunno i you know it, but the CH-47 Chinook is, in contrary to what many belive, "only" a medium lift helicopter.
I don't get why this has two co-axial shafts (four sets of blades altogether). I thought these tandem helicopters (front and back shafts) automatically cancel the torque of each other? So I would guess that coaxial blades on each wouldn't be necessary.
Sweet!! I'm going to order this.

Hi Dave, I want to move on from my small piccoZ heli. Do you think this would be a good helicopter for me?
(I've flown my piccoZ for about 6 months)
My dad got a similar one for me for christmas but it's a different brand, he bought it from ebay and it flies poorly. Bad radio connection and crashed it. I broke one wheel off of it on impact but now I am going to tell my old man to get them from X-Heli. :)
hey nightflyer could you please do a review for the walkera dragonfly cb180d? thanks
you can make the cargo bay in the back that will be cool
whats the best website to buy it from? and do you have coupons i can use?
What is the cheapest heli that can lift a 9 volt batterie because i have a spy camera that i want to put on one and im a total noob when it comes to this stuff.
nice ..... although needs a repaint........ to shiny. needs an all around olive drab .
sir can u give me some details on the honeybee u told me about for outdoor flying and some links to its videos and a price?
thank you
how well do the rotorr baldes on this RC chopper sruvive on impact of a wall or tree
nightflyer do u have any coupons for xheli because i think im getting that plane
is this good for a beginner?
how does the helicopter yaw without a tail?
I'm thinking of buying one for flying at home. Is 49.99$ is a good price?
Bonjour, Avez vous fait des reglage precis avant le premier vol....???
I just got mine today!!
Is this an outdoor or indoor heli?
WOW That is COOLLLL. Its hard to find one in Malaysia.
rock on man, hope u find what your looking for...
Should I buy from Nitro Planes? or somewhere else.
how much did u pay for it after the coupons and discounts?
i hate unboxing takes to long XD nice vid your love for rc made me want to buy one my self XD
What song did you use in the beginning?
why twin counterrotating rotors?
Could you hang something under it? And how much weight?
what if you tryed to land an airplane or heli on thick Ice?
OK, the model being flown is a CH-46. The CH47 Chinook is the Army verson of the heavy lift helicopter. I have over 4000 hrs flying the CH-46 and would love to buy this model however, the model is not available on the website that is published. Anyone have a clue of where we can buy this model????
very nice, it seems to be very powerfull too.
yes yes I know u cant compare the 2, but its a good heli for kids and beginners, especially in winter where u flie in ur room ^^, butr yeah,I find it better, much better than mosquito from T2M or picoz.
but the heli u have on ur vid its a really good one , I dont doubt it.
is it easy to handle?
where did you get it
I can't seem to find it on any we'd site!!! It's aggravating, please respond. I need help!
How come I never seen any nitro powered Helos (of coarse you wouldn't be test flying in your garage)? Is electric your preference? I like electric just because it is cheaper and easier to handle. But I've been driving nitro cars and trucks and will never go back to electric.
