    Very VERY nice Heli... My grandfather was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam and he flew one of the big dual rotor personnel transporters. He could make that helicopter do everything except sit up and beg for table scraps... He could land the back half on a slope and keep the other half airborne. Amazing. But XHeli did an awesome job recreating the CH46. R.I.P Grand dad. Wish he were here to see these great replicas

    It's because of guys like this that you enjoy all the freedom that you have today. Which you don't appreciate. Thank you NightFlyer for posting these great videos. And even more for your service to our country. Don't you live in SD? I live in ND.

    Excellent review! Thanks for letting me fly it today. That thing is the grand daddy of all indoor helis! Flies like a dream! 5 stars!!

    You reminded me of a kid in a candy store as you opened up that box. Ofcourse that would be my reaction too! Youre right, the heli's quality looks great!

    Nice review Dave :-) 5*
    I have about 20 flights with the BladeMCX and it's a bit more dificult than flying planes but I can now do forward figure 8 and spot landings. Also got a sim for practicing airplane 3D and the basics of heli flying during the winter months.

    Dave, it's weird how an ad (out of all the others) for that exact heli from xheli comes up right next to this video. No biggie, just wanted to point that out. Also, thanks for the reply to my last comment.

    Hey once again sorry for all the questions but i want to find out one more thing, where do you get the items for a night setup such as ''tube lighting'' or LED lights that could all fit on and stay on the heli. Along with the fact that they all need to be battery operated. thanks and by the way i finally got around to seeing your fishing LOL wow. nice catch. Lata

  • @seth364
    @seth364 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey, thanks for responding to my comment and i know you get a bunch of these, but i must ask you one more question. What are the biggest pros and cons of this model? You do not have to be specific i just want to know the basics. Thanks. O ya i have to say in your Christmas story video had some interesting voices and that tree was immense. Later.

    i wonder how big of a fish you can haul in with this chinook. :)
    Sir, would this heli be stable outdoors at say gusting 5-10 mph winds?
    thanks for reviewing this. your expertise and guidance are very appreciated, especially for an RC rookie like myself.

    @PRJohnnyT 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    cool video !! love the stability of this heli.
    But just for a personal point of view, I know that u dont crash much but if u do its better if u untighten a bit ur blades, not too loose but thight enough that they stay in the right position and if u hit them they go out of position and dont break

  • @seth364
    @seth364 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey, the video was extraordinarily good. But i must ask, is there a certain dead weight this helicopter can carry. Ive heard that its around 2 pounds which is pretty good. I just want to know because i purchased the fire version and I'm gettin it in a few days and i want to see if i can get a night setup on it for a video. thanks

    Hey Dave... yet another great video! I have just bought a Walkera 4#3Q Cobra... any chance you could get your hands on one and give us a flight demo/review? I really would love to see this helo flown in the hands of an expert.

  • @cameraman1234567890
    @cameraman1234567890 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    try fishing with that. heheh. I bet it started to get windy in there for sure. Looks like that turbulance that is bouncing off the walls hits a heavy, stable machine so I guess It makes it a bit easier to fly. And it is camoflage so it would work a bit like a real osprey. really cool. 5/5 happy flying.

    WOW! is that thing stable enough to put the throttle up and trim to perfection and dont touch a single thing on the transmitter and it will hover, obviously not in 1 spot, thats impossible, but im sure you catch my drift ;)
    excellent review dave and im glad... you got something rather different this time :)
    5 stars!

    could you make a video on the difference between different channel helicopters?

  • @leviterande
    @leviterande 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    could you explain how it flies if we disregard its coaxials, step by step:
    go forward = both rotors forward cyclic?
    yaw = cyclic?
    aileron = cyclic?
    is there any channel controlled by differntial engine speed, and with a help of a gyro?

    Dunno i you know it, but the CH-47 Chinook is, in contrary to what many belive, "only" a medium lift helicopter.

  • @beyondfossil
    @beyondfossil 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don't get why this has two co-axial shafts (four sets of blades altogether). I thought these tandem helicopters (front and back shafts) automatically cancel the torque of each other? So I would guess that coaxial blades on each wouldn't be necessary.

    Whats number of Channels does this Heli have? And can it's radio receiver be removed and placed in to another heli / plane?
    My F-15 needs a transmitter and receiver, which costs as much as the plane itself, but if I can buy a new heli alongside the radio equipment I'd like to know. Cheers.
