It's a testament to how much Boimler has grown over the course of the season (nevermind the whole show) that when he finally takes the Captain's chair, we don't question it. He's got this.
I love the way he leaned forward in a Riker battle pose.
@@AdaSotoLet's not forget the unscripted Riker maneuver he did in the Strange New Worlds crossover, while Johnathan Frakes was the director and in the room.
This series has been one of my top 3 star trek series, this season has been the best season so far imo and I'm excited for season 5! Hoping for atleast 8-9 seasons?
Probably not that much but maybe enough to have the show go past 50 episodes
This is going to sound silly, but I really want 13 seasons. The reason why is that the poster for each season is an homage / parody of the poster for that numbered Trek movie. So season 4's poster looked like Star Trek 4's poster, for example. And I really want them to get all the way to Star Trek Beyond. I mean I'll take what I can get but I think that'd be fun.
I have to admit this Star Trek Lower Deck Season 4 turn out be the best as Mariner, Boimler, Tendi and Rutherford became Lieutenant Junior while facing a lot of challenge. Every episodes are great but I am a little dsappointed that the writer never made an episode featuring Mariner and Jennifer at all in fact in episode 8 I was expecting Jennifer to join in the mission with Mariner so she could work things out with Mariner by amending this misunderstanding back in season 3 and be just friends but I have been told that it will happen in next year Star Trek Lower Deck Season 5 which it would mean that we will have to wait until next year😒.
The final episode of Star Trek Lower Deck Season 5 is good except for Tendi to leave the Cerrito to return to her home planet Orion but watching at the end of the episode feels more like a cliffhanger because Tendi looks like she's turning evil after seeing her eyes. Well we're going to have to find until next year to see if Tendi will return to Cerritos and her friends.
2:25-2:29 Mariner is stating *facts.*
That was a delight. I was expecting the classic "pretend to play along and subtly tip off everyone watching" ploy, but in retrospect embarrassing Nick in front of everyone like that accomplished a lot more in the grand scheme of things just because of the sheer amount of chaos it caused.
Honestly never thought I would like this show as much as I did.
I love that noel is the only person to swear during this despite her being tendi
I know what the team does can be seen as opinionated, but settling the various Fandom theories is necessary from the canon. In the past, the Enterprise team settle the quesiton regarding Klingon's ridge (or lack of). Now this season you settled the Tuvix quesiton (more or less) and whether Nick Lorcano is a psudonym for Tom Paris (nope). Oh, canonize some Rule of Acquistion (rule 8) and even introduce new one? Building up Orion (who evenutally created Emerald Chain)...
Thank you for building up this universe, LD team.
It feels like Nick Locarno is a big Take That to the Kevlin timeline's version of Kirk. He is a brilliant and charismatic rebel but that only goes so far against a longstanding and efficient organization like Starfleet. It's why his massive Nova Fleet ran at the first sign of trouble.
This was such a fantastic season, and the finale went above and beyond.
This is some of the very best Trek out there!
(And wow, fifth comment, really? Wow.)
Season 5 should add Tin Man to that ever-growing battle in the opening.
Also, did anybody else notice a distinct lack of Jennifer this season?
2:34 I love how Dawnn calls her character's daughter by her first name❤
I thought it was Badgey the whole time. Lol
"First Duty" I see what you did there
I hope we can still save lower decks from cancellation, this show had been such a conversation starter and led so many people i know to discover or rediscover past star trek classic moments.
The best Star Trek in years. Absolutely love it.
Thanks Paramount. I started watching LD with the intention of dismissing it as silly. However, I have been thoroughly entertained over the four seasons. Great character development and some genuinely funny dialogue. I love the bleeped-out swearing. I found the bad language in Disco and Pickard very jarring and distasteful and went against the grain of what Stat Trek represents. Bleeping just adds to the humour, especially when uttered by a cat. I can't wait to find out what Tendi gets up to in the next series.
Amazing season! I hope we get a lot more of Lower Decks.
Fun fact Nick Lacarno was originally intended to be on Voyager instead of Tom Paris
Yep, hence casting Robert.
My understanding is that using the character of Nick would have meant the writers who created Nick for that one TNG episode would be entitled to royalties from every episode of Voyager that the character appeared in.
Which is why they changed the name and tweaked the backstory.
@@Vectorspace000only problem was the writer for the episode in question was the writers Ronald D Moore and Naren Shankar they were staff writers instead of guest writers.
@@Vectorspace000There's also Robert Duncan Macneil apparently saying that he didn't want to play Locarno again because of finding him to be too irredeemable to enjoy playing in a whole show. Ronald D. Moore has said that he felt that Locarno may have done a bad thing but wasn't irredeemable and was disappointed that Macneil viewed Locarno that way. But I guess that, without a significant character change, Locarno would just be a carbon copy of Paris if he were brought back, so if Locarno wasn't irredeemable before, McMahan and company made it so that he is now.
I thought it was common knowledge lol
@@Vectorspace000 wow so there was a reason for the past to writers strikes.
Have to wait another year now??? 😠
Let's not forget one of the most memorable new characters as part of Season Four...
...
...
...Moopsy!
When it will be available in Poland? or should I pick up pirate hat?
Two!!!
All the slow, gradual character development happening throughout the series, thinly hidden underneath all the hilarity and comedy...and this season 4 finale was the big payoff for all of it.
Wont lie: having a hard time seeing how they manage to top this. But I'm excited to see what they try!
Wooohooo number 1
So with the twist reveal, what with that light bean attack from Nova 1? Just to blind the crew inside?
Mariner mentions Nick stunning the crews. So I guess it's a combination of a phaser set to stun and a tractor beam?
Locarno's ship kinda looks like a knockoff of the Delta Flyer lol
I think that is the idea.
@@ukiyasenpai oh I'm sure.
3:52 Yeah, no kidding. Poor guy looks like a Nausicaan ripped out his heart and replaced it with a biomechanical substitute.
Nr 5!
TIL that casey and rutherford are the same person.

Season 5 or Paramount is a garbage company.
They confirmed Season 5 back in, I wanna say, March.
