এখানে Remote sensing/ Geospatial Science এর পার্মানেন্ট কোনো faculty নেই । Geography, Physics, Statistics, Remote sensing Diploma, Botany, Computer science, Geology, Instrumental Science থেকে Teacher রা পড়ান । সেজন্য খুব কম ক্লাস থাকে । স্যারেরা নিজেদের ডিপার্টমেন্ট সামলে এখানে আসার সময় কম পান । তবে জানুয়ারি থেকে মোটামুটি ভালো ই ক্লাস হচ্ছে ।
এদিক থেকে দেখলে Vidyasagar University তে Practical খুব ভালো শেখানো হয় বর্ধমান বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে র তুলনায় । কখনো কখনো ওদের Remote sensing PhD Research scholar রা ও ক্লাস নেয় । ওদের Department অনেক পুরোনো হওয়ার কারনে Alumni ও অনেক strong. ওখান থেকে ও placement এর বিরাট একটা সুযোগ থাকে যেটা বর্ধমানে হয় না কারন এখানে PhD ও পড়ানো হয় না। আর যারা job পেয়েছে তারাও খুব পুরোনো নয় । সদ্য সদ্য ই পেয়েছে ।

but the curriculum of JIS is more GIS-oriented (physics, mathematics-related) which is far better than any Central university. Of course, CUJ is good among centrals.

As a bsc geography student.. I think you can study in gis.. But you have to know maths.. Like statistics.. Linear algebra and basic calculus.. These are required.. As I am working on it

Please give me suggestion. Master of Planning or Master of Geospatial Information Systems which one is best for Future career? I am planning for higher study in Australia. please give me proper suggestion. My background was Geography & Environment for times B.S and M.S .
As AI is switching all jobs ,you have to go for research studies , in that case 2 streams are vulnerable but MSc in geoinformatics would be a better choice for Mtech too in foreign countries.

@@rupalisantra1546 বাঁকুড়া ইউনিভার্সিটি তে remote sensing বিগত 3 বছর ধরে পড়ানো হচ্ছে, placement এ faculty তোমাকে সাহায্য করবে তারপর Alumini রাও তোমাকে সাহায্য করবে,যতদূর শুনেছি বাঁকুড়ার alumini রা খুব helpfull।
তাছাড়া নিজেকে prepare করতে একদম 100%, তাহলে দেখবে নিজেই নিজের job খুঁজে নিতে পারবে।
