This has got to be one of the most impactful sermons I have heard. Thank you Christ for your sufficiency in my salvation, life, and fruit. A wise man once told me, don't strive to earn God's love, just be loved.
Wonderful! I'm so thankful and give God ALL the glory for men who preach and expound on the scriptures! So many these days are either mega church concert halls or one who preaches with no authority and do not teach us. Lord please help the true Saints in America we so need You! TFS such a great truth!
50:30 This seems to be in stark contrast with something else I heard not too long ago... I recall a sermon (by Pastor Tim, I think) recently that would tend to lead one to conclude that one's prayers are not answered quite likely because their lives are not holy. This sermon was indeed what I needed to be reminded of. This was where I was at when I was recently converted and had absolutely nothing. It is so easy for our faith in Christ to be turned into faith in our faith as our walk advances and we grow in knowledge and holiness. As Spurgeon once said, whenever we get an inch off the ground, we get an inch too high.
I thought the same thing bc I heard Ps Tim say something like that as well in another message. However, this message I agree is one I definitely needed to hear. Jesus is the Author and Perfector of my faith. He has my story written in His book before the foundations of the world. I am that child asking his father for $10 to buy his father a birthday gift with his dad's own money! 😆 everything I have belongs to God that He has given to me. I have nothing of my own to give Him! I gotta just rest in Christ and be loved by Him. He is the faithful One! I thank God for this message, all glory to Him. Thank you Ps Michael. 🙏
This sermon reminds me of the song “He Will Hold Me Fast” The song goes into a lot of the the time our faith is too weak to hold on, our love altogether being cold yet even so, Christ Holds on to us. Just as the vine holds to its branch. A lot of the time I fear that I’ll stray away from the faith in whatever way so i try to hold on as tight as I can but I’m beginning to realize that this striving to hold is nothing but a manifestation of unbelief of His ability and willingness to hold on to me and keep me in the truth.
Amen Michael. Jesus Christ is all that we need, as nothing can substitute Him. He is worthy of our fullest praise, so let us praise Him forevermore. God bless you all.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. John 15:7-12 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. Titus 3:8 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 1 John 3:7-10 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 2:21-26 KJV They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. Titus 1:16 KJV
Spoken with the true authority of God. Thank you Michael for your love towards your brothers and sisters in Christ, in sharing these messages...Praising God for His union with you which has been a feast for me through this series.
I think the point of John 15 is not that WE receive all WE need FROM the Vine (it's not about US at all)...but that we GIVE all that we have in the world sacrificing ourselves, knowing that we are USEFUL to the Vine in order to bear much fruit (leading people to Christ, healing the sick, casting out demons, etc.) and thus bring great glory to the Father. We can't heal disease without His power, but when we abide in Him, and His word abides in us, and we keep His commandment, which is TO LOVE, then we can go into the world and heal the sick and so on. "Did I not tell you that if you BELIEVE you will see the glory of God?" We Christians never see the glory of God, the fruit of miraculous healing, because we don't BELIEVE that He will use US to do it. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy of ours that says "I am not worthy to be used by Him, and therefore He won't use me." Well.......BELIEVE.....that He will use us dull knives, rusty hammers, and bent screwdrivers, and then He WILL use us...so long as we believe that He will, and then we take action to SHOW our faith by working hard to manifest HIS glory. Actions prove and perfect our faith...and without our stepping out in courage and TRYING to heal the sick, our faith is useless and might as well not even exist. Our abiding in Jesus isn't for our benefit primarily! It is so that we will have the cajones to GO, LAY HANDS on the sick in the Walmart scooter, COMMAND the disease to go out, and bring the witnesses to faith and all glory to the Father! This is what "bearing fruit" means...and by this God is glorified...and whoever tries to do it is pruned by God to succeed more and more! That's the point of John 15!
Amen and thank you for this sermon as I've been recently in the season of abiding and God growing His fruit in me. If our faith didn't have much input how come we have the parable of the persistent one who constantly was knocking at the door? would you say be persistent in faith but rely on God's faithfulness that He will supply? Thank you again God bless
I love this. But how does this fit with the other type of fierce battle against sin portrayed by preachers on this channel. A battle to the death of your soul/ a confident calm. I struggle to put these together to the point it feels like two different realities are being preached, two polar opposites forced together...
One thing always to remember, that preachers, even on this channel (and truly I thank God for these holy men), are not entirely infallible. Always check their teachings with that of the Bible.
I think when we understand this message of a salvation of rest and walk of union in Jesus, we have the promised strength to do the battle that's before us...never alone, never without our Lord with us. The two are not separate but beautiful intertwined.
Gee I wonder how do you abide in Christ. I see the definition of the word hangout be around. Be with associate Endwell have you seen have you seen the father she how do you do it I just don't know how to explain the extremely obvious
The second sentence is rather incoherent. But if you think there is not a need for this teaching, think again. It is absolutely profitable that we have anyone who is strong and biblical in their teaching helping to instruct us on how to abide in our Savior, it is not that obvious. It takes extreme discernment and a faithful brother in Christ teaching us about it is a blessing.
You mis used or mis interpreted the scripture 2 Corinthians 5:17. Old things have passed away, behold all things are new- this scripture is in reference the new method of reconciliation to G-d, which is now thru Christ and no longer thru the Law nor the temple sacrificial offerings. Our reconciliation is now by faith. This does not mean there is a change in you, although there is but it is due to a different reason and not from 2 Corinthians 5:17…

Amen! This is exactly what I’ve experienced. Confident resting in Him, knowing I can do nothing- only He can. Praise God.

Glory to the living lamb of God!
Jesus Christ is the king of kings, merciful holy savior.
I cant thank you enough for this message. Praising God for speaking through you and opening my eyes to this truth! I just want to shout for joy ❤

This is really helpful. Wow, makes sense. Thank you 🙏 so much. Dependence on ourselves leads to legalism and disappointment.

could this be the concept of union with Christ?
