    I think the flags are duplicated on each side on the mini-map so you can easily see which team will win if the timer expires. It's really easy to compare when the flags are next to each other.

    Close matches going to the end while unbalanced matches end fast is a huge plus; it means more time spent in balanced matches overall (even though matchmaking itself could be improved for balance as well, this mitigates the effects).
    The respawning and going one-at-a-time into the meatgrinder is a problem, but it's a solvable problem, one that TF2 solved in 2007. TF2 doesn't have static, unchanging respawn timers; rather every X seconds, everyone on a team that dies more than y seconds ago (where Y

    The thing is, confusing & irrelevant announcements aren't beta content, they're ALPHA content. By the time it's presented to the public it shouldn't have announcements that actively misrepresent what is going on. Which is what using announcements from completely different game modes does.

    With the side objectives, I believe in the preview stream they stated it was the eternal coliseum objectives but without the auto stomp. So I'm pretty sure one objective is the sword (a flat damage buff for the whole team) and the other the shield from the conquest map. And then the objective in the middle stops the enemy team from pushing the node (cant remember if they can still contest it or not). It lasts for 10 seconds if you're currently the winning team and 20 seconds if you're currently the losing team. Unsure if there are more objectives as I havent tried it out yet, but those 3 were mentioned on the preview stream.
    Do want to mention something I am concerned about is the current "anti-bunker" solution is a stacking debuff when standing on the node when it is contested which increases incoming damage and lowers incoming healing, which means that glass cannon issue is more than likely worse and I'm skeptical about how much it'll effect supports healing aswell. Havent had a chance yet to play myself though to really have a full opinion on it.

    From my time in Push, it definitely shines the problems of PvP. That said, I had a lot of fun and I want to play it more to get my Beta Title (if I'm lucky maybe the Top 250 Title). Being someone who really only plays PvE, it was certainly a breath of fresh air compared to Conquest, where in Push it is centered around team fights so much more.

    I made the experience that many players don't like teamfights and end up running over the whole map like confused chickens.

    You make some valid points about the music and voice lines. Yes it's an extremely early test, but these things still affect the perception and feedback people will give. Players are confused by the mode, and that may be merely weird voice lines. Players may find the mode bland or unengaging, and that could be lack of music.
    I get the intent behind a super rough build, but these do feel like they could skew feedback and are worth cleaning up.

    I play a lot of Splatoon and this is just Tower Control (and I'm sure has similarity to modes in other PvP games). And I like that! All the points about quick knockouts, winner being whoever pushed furthest (not most recently), and retaking as a team hold up.

    Overall I like the mode since I also like Crystalline Conflict in FF14. I also like the faster pacing of matches compared to Conquest, so the 10 minute duration is almost a non-issue since I've been always been engaged throughout my matches and the potential for comebacks is great. I do have a few criticisms though.
    - The objective is hard to see at times. I think the blocky cloud thing is a bit too high in the sky and maybe too small. Maybe it should glow too or something it's more visible. Also the ring being white when not controlled by either team I find a bit hard to see since the snow ground path is also white.
    - The score UI should indicate progress for how far each team pushes the objective. Maybe each milestone should give points when crossed for the first time in a match rather than what it does now; in which it jumps from 0 to 500 when a team wins.

    I haven't played enough matches to get ranked yet, but every single match I have been in the timer has run down. Even the ones that felt unbalanced(whether in my teams favor or not). I didn't even notice the flags, I looked for the commander tag they put above the cloud. Thanks for taking the time to read the buffs, I had no idea if they even did anything at all or were just randomly spawning by mistake. Until one spawned in the middle of the road I didn't even know what those announcements were about.
    I do find the mode really fun tho.But I liked deathmatch and this is pretty much that just with a thing to push around instead of just an open map to kill one another on.

    Flags on minimap is bad method to even show the distance. it should be something like in overwatch push mode - a bar on UI that shows distance of both teams and current position of the point

      That's probably the goal for full release, the flags seem like the easiest thing they could slap on to make it functional during testing.

    Again agree. It’s pretty fun. And I hope it helps identify balance issues in conjunction with the other modes.
    So far teams with heavy grief and/or teams with support dominate. Hard.

    I wonder if the voiceline thing is a contracts thing, like maybe they have an agreement that all voicelines must be recorded by someone in the union and under contract or something, and they weren't able to get anyone in the studio to do a quick recording for a random beta build (they probably do contracts for voice recording in per-expansion bundles) -- maybe in the future they'll consider writing in a loophole for beta content etc so that a dev can record non-voice-actor lines that get the info across
    Agree that they should have pasted in some random music, ANYTHING, and that non-descript "pick those up" for re-used voice lines would be better than clearly-inaccurate lines

    I play Splatoon 3. This sounds like it's almost exactly how Tower Control works in that game, except maybe without checkpoints. Three point capture modes are some of my least favorite in most shooters, so this probably interests me more than conquest. Duo queue would need to go away from ranked before I'll touch it, but that's still going to be conquest only anyway.

    Oh good. Its basically Crystalline Conflict from FFXIV but in a game engine that doesn't have input lag shoved into it. Honestly sounds really great.

    This sounds like it might actually be a PvP mode that I could enjoy. I really don't like and suck at standard PvP, but team fights have been something I do enjoy a little.

    I haven't tried it yet but it looks fun from your review. I like wvw more then pvp, and in wvw I like smaller group fights more then zerg fights. This feels like two small wvw roaming groups going at eachother, that's when I have the most fun in wvw, so I'm on board for this idea.

    This is why i dont pvp at all in gw2. Everyone says just run cele, or minstrels and you will be super tanky. Yet everytime i run either one i still die in 2 seconds, takes the fun right out of it. I just stick to pve less annoying

    Managed a 3.4 mil DMG game in one of my matches that was literally just a teamfight the entire ten minutes. Its a lot of fun :D
    In the plat bracket, I was noticing tho, games are fairly quick, I wasn't getting well balanced matches a lot, one side stomped most times. But, in the slightly lower brackets, it felt a lil more balanced to me.

    I'm generally enjoying it thought there's one big thing I'd like them to change. Respawn timers need to be much longer. Having the respawn timer being only 10 seconds makes the final push sometimes take over 5 minutes due to enemies trickling in and dying on node. The game is over already at that point, let it end please. Yes, there is the 'tranquility' buff to help, but it's not always available.

    I'm really enjoying this game mode, it's quite fun. By the way, as you said, some (or most of them) of the problems I've seen are related to how matchmaking (and meta burst) is currently. As a wvw player, the constant fight makes the roaming a really less appealing thing to do when no zerging with friends. I totally vote for a permanent mode.
    I just hope that the other players have the minimum maturity to understand this when they give some feedback... For now, it's hard to understand if the comments in the PvP lobby chat are trolls or really people who have no idea how the thing should work. XD

    I haven't watched your gw2 pvp video yet, but what you mentioned here is also why I'm partially annoyed, partially intimidated to play more pvp. Even in Unranked games I get put against super sweaty Dragon rank+ players that just curb stomp people out of existence.
    I just want to play pvp casually now and then for fun (hence why I do unranked, and not ranked), occasionally trying out builds and ofc for some of the rewards, but the matchmaking feels so non-existent and unfair at times, it's not surprising it scares people away, especially new players.

    My biggest beef is the lack of pve music in pvp. That pvp track does not slap. . . I wanna hear the classics in pvp music like first light etc. Other than that, game mode rez timer and buff aquisition should be lengthened slightly.

    Looks appealing, coming from a CC novice. So long as they don't add a map that tosses you in the air and cuts your HP by 80%, it may be an improvement.

    you complain about 2 losses , but before that you won 2 games just like that, even faster.
    i 100% agree that matchmaking need some changes. i usualy play between 00 and 03 in the morning. all the time i get ppl from top 100 even tho i'm 150-200 points bellow them. i don't mind waiting more for fair matchup :)
    love the new mode btw , fast paced and constant action :)
    Flags are duplicated so you can see where enemy team pushed their flag, and if it's close to the end of match, you might risk a bit more to contest it or push it further, or go for "tranquility"

      To be clear, I complain about one sided matches.
      I had more fun in the loss that hit the timer than in the matches where I won in 90 seconds.
      I don't want unbalanced queues, whether I'm on the winning team or the losing one.

    always been matchmaking as the issue, they allow duo ques in ranked and it's just a mistake cuz anytime those duos arent ever playing with their friends, they are always much worse, 1 of them in the duo usually gets carried by the other. Ranked should be solo que only, you're literally trying to climb the ranks, if any1 is helping you it just defeats the entire purpose of it being ranked cuz no 1 ever truly knows if some1 is good or not, cuz you can duo que.

    I do think the buffs need to be stronger, and the debuff for standing on node should gradually decrease healing. But this is face value after some high silver lower gold games, i feel i get too much value out of core guardian.
    But im absolutely loving it, if people play awful its over in a moment but good games can be really intense fights.

    If anyone runs into a guy named Cuoc or some shit with funny letters make sure to tell him his class is bad lol but I'm sure he'll already be in that map chat. This is an alright mod it goes kind of fast tho. I think at the two points on the sides they should make the point stop and make you have to fight over that spot or something to hold the game a bit. Because right now if your whole team gets wipped they moved the point almost 50% why you wait to rez.

    This isn't mode for new players, this mode heavily punish mistakes and positioning. if you don't have support you can go afk.
    if you don't have proper comp you can go afk, esp if they plan to put this into ranked.

    9 games in and I really dont enjoy this one in relation to the older one. Havent watched the video yet, will see what luk has to say about it as well and if any points here are mentioned. My points:
    1. It is "endless 5v5", no opportunity to maybe after losing a fight go for something else and find a more favorable fight or something.
    What I see happening is that after a player dies, he respawns and goes straight to the ONLY objective THAT MATTERS, and dies, because his team couldnt handle the 5v4 after he died, so they also died one by one. Then the players go in a line dying one after the other, because they want to stop the push ofc, it is the only objective that matters, and then dies for going there in a disadvantage in numbers, until the game ends.
    2. because of the endless 5v5 nature of it. The team comp can be a make or break situation, can't really work around or make a difference by trying smart play of picking an off point and going for a 2v2 or 1v1 situation. I remember in conquest a guy using bots literally invincible and a teammate suggested avoiding him entirely, so we as a team went for objectives he wasnt in. Even if this situation was with a very good player instead of a bot, you cant avoid him in this mode at all, so it becomes a impossible to win situation if your team setup is inferior to the other. I know this point may sound stupid to some peaople because "if you're better, you should be the winner". Yes, in chess and sports yes. But not video games all the time, there is a reason in game design that we create comeback mechanic and similar stuff like this, to make the "impossible" happen, to keep all players engaged in the match until the end.
    3. Incentivizes the same type of builds over and over. Sustain is the name of the game. you gotta survive for longer than the enemy, and keep surviving to keep pushing, specially because the death timer is kinda low, so you gotta be up on health and cds by the time the enemy comes back. Feels like a CD resource competiton.
    4. This is not a gripe with the gamemode in itself, but with what Anet was saying they were trying to fix: complexity and ease of entry.
    Bro, in these endless 5v5 do you think a new player can even understand where the skills are coming from? If you think about for example mobas, it exactly in teamfights that new players get more confused because of the amount of interactions happening at the same time, and the laning phase is a more chill experience for them to learn the game (that only applies to new players though).
    But as I said, this has nothing to do with the gamemode, I just think anet is trying to fix a problem and really aren't doing it well, according to their own words.

    Queue has been rooooough, which is a shame. I prefer roaming and dueling, so the mode has forced me to learn other play styles in a big way.

    Does this have the same "mathematical" problem as Overwatches push mode?
    What i mean is that there the match heavily favors the team that wins the initial encounter and gets their push going first:
    For those unfamilliar: If you have to push it back from the position that the winner of the intial skirmish pushed it it goes like this in OW:
    Lets Say Team A wins initial Skirmish and gets to push an equivalent of 30 Seconds as a result. Now Team B doesnt only have to own the objective for 30 Seconds to catch up, but has to own it for 60 seconds just to be caught up.
    Is that a thing here?

      From the description sounds like it is just distance pushed not time. So a close fight might get a Lil bit one way but if you grab it back you might get it moving faster and undo their lead in less time

    I tried this Push and I am disapointed. In first 20 second you know who will win. I never had intresting match. We instatly won or just instantly lost. There is something missing in design. I believe this could be great mode for full premade party but playing with randoms? Nah..

    I like the new mode, never liked the de-capper playstyle thieves and mesmers I'd see in my games that just stalled and ran around.

    Ah, disappointed that players don't spawn in waves in this mode. I think it'd work better and people are less likely to trickle back in and feed the enemy team.

    I will die on this hill, but it’s about the rewards.
    If the rewards are shit. No one will play this. At least not consistently.
    Ranked matches give progress to chests and the ability to craft Leggies.
    If I can’t get good rewards in the end and I can’t get ascended shards of glory to continue that leggy progress, then this game mode is already dead to me.

    It's very confusing that ranked is titled as Team Deathmatch. How should new players find out about a new game mode (in progress) if they don't consume gw2 content outside the game?
    In addition, a short written introduction to the rules before the fight would not have hurt.

    The gamemode is pretty much payload from Overwatch. AND yes Overwatch not Team Fortress, that one plays differently.

      Splatoon tower control is also similar, when we are at it, just that is has some checkpoints, where the tower/point stays still for a moment, and if it's not completed, it will stay still there the next time again.
      But the tower in splatoon will also go back to the mid from alone, if no one is on it for a while.

    tbh.. this is a joke of a pvp game mode. zero polishing done.. only ranged classes or fucking warrior can play this mode. complete joke.

      I'm not on their payroll, I'm allowed to be critical. Literally in this video I said that matchmaking and pvp class balance currently sucks.
      So while my opinion may differ from yours, it isn't because "lol partner".

      Well currently PvP in general is not good for new PvP players, willbenders will just delete them. And game won't even tell newbies what happened, not even allowing to see the replay of the match.
