This is the video I have been searching for! One that actually gives me a step by step of the vacuum chamber! This showed me that the company directions that they sent with it were incorrect! Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for the video, I recently got a vacuum chamber and oiless vacuum pump Not sure if it’ll work but you can do what preassembled pressure pots do, add a small L shaped extension on the inside of the pressure pot lid, so it can redirect the air, and possible vacuum oil towards the sides of the chamber. 😊
When the bubbles rise towards the top, do you shut off the air at the valve or turn off the pump? I understood that turning the pump off was a bad idea because the pump oil could back-feed into the vacuum chamber. Thanks.
Can you test if it works with nothing in there or will the meter not move? Im doing the same steps but it’s not moving on the dial but I can’t find any air escaping
I was also wondering this so I did some quick googling and it seems like the answer is yes. Some people will even wait to degass their resin after pouring it into their desired silicone mold
@@j3nnacat Just make sure there's extra room at the top of your mold. The air that goes out makes the volume smaller so you could end up with not enough resin in your mold.
I like your explanations, but there's something going on with your mike. Sounds like something keeps banging it. Not a show stopper, but it gets very annoying...

Can you use a silicone cup in the vacuum chamber?

@@Ni5ei oh thank you so much for the tip!! I haven’t gotten a degassing chamber yet but I will file this tip away for when I finally get one!
I’m having problems getting mine to work. The gauge won’t move and I’ve tried everything!
