I was told to snorkel you don’t need to be a strong swimmer. They give u life jackets.

Yes. Indeed pigeon island is one of the most beautiful beaches in east Srilanka . There are facilities to explore underwater marine life even if you do not know how to swim. Must visit place in Srilanka . Nice video . ❤

‘Entrance’ fee to Pigeon Island is 40 dollars per person + 50.000 LKR (165 dollar) boat and snorkling gear… we are 3 persons.. this means 280 dollar to go snorkling.
Unless we’re being lied to, this price is absolutely ridiculous.
What is up with making everything so expensive for tourists? I don’t have a problem with paying more than a local but this is too much.
It’s a national park and the country’s only marine park. All national parks are priced the same.

If it aint broke dont fix it! 😆 its a great swim suit of amazing quality I have had it for over 7-8 years. I feel lucky to have it cus its stopped me for wasting money trying to keep up with trends. But the time to replace it is closing in and I m very sad about it 🥲

Hey there I understand what you mean, its often scary for us in another country to advice a local to, but we like to lead by example, in srilanka I ve noticed locals feel bad when foreigners start cleaning up and usually they join in immediately. Sometimes this might be the better option too.
