Good evening, Trinidad is beautiful. I went there for 11 days but that was four years ago. I didn't go to San Fernando, though. You had a great tour guide. I was thinking it was your wife from the voice. Continue to enjoy the holiday, guys have a blessed night 🌙 ❤👍🏽✌️👌🙏💯🇬🇾✔️

San Fernando will always have a place in my heart. Every time I visit Trinidad I have to visit San Fernando (even if its the only place I visit) It has changed a lot, I hope that government restore to the original and keep those old buildings (especially in the wharf area) lots of history there. Thanks for sharing Jake.

@@deodathbirbal I was born in P-A-P and went to San Fernando boy's RC on the promenade in the early 60s and even though my parents moved us to POS in the late 60s, I always have a pull to the southland, I had the opportunity to do sales after leaving school and was head to Sando at least twice a week to find customers, migrated over 35 years ago and revisited T&T approximately 5 times since and even though I stay in POS, I have to visit Sando as much as I can. See, there are certain sights and scents (believe it or not) that I remember as a young kid living there that even at my age, it floods my memories in vivid thoughts back to those happiest times. So, as a photographer, I try to capture as many vintage houses, buildings, places that have not changed as yet etc as much as I can. Our country has changed a lot in more ways than one, so people like you who document it are really doing every citizen of our once great paradise a great honor. Be safe and thanks again. Peace.

@@deodathbirbal (credit google) What is the story of the San Fernando Hill?
      San Fernando Hill
Historical records show that the original hill was called Anaparima by the Amerindians. This meant 'single hill'. It was a sacred place of worship for them, which explains why the Warao Indians travelled by canoe from the Orinoco Delta, across the Gulf of Paria, thereby making an annual pilgrimage to the Hill.

I enjoyed the video with great clarity. Great job. What changes! Hardly recognisable from almost 55 years ago since I migrated. I remember one store only on High Street which has survived "Nandlall & Sons" The others came after my time. Jake beta, next time names of street and or location would be most welcomed. Fantastic. BTW, when I watched you eating breakfast using your hands, it showed that you are no longer a native lol.

Terrible advertisement for San Fernando - these people speak so badly and the sound is terrible, granted that the people in Trinidad speak a version of English that is barely understandable.
