I got a 15 on my first test and after watching this video I got the asvab for dummys book and studied it for 4 hours, every day for 30 days. I scored a 92 on the second try. Huge difference.
I finally passed the asvab test with an 85 .. first time I took it I made an 17 .. I have asvab for dummies , Barron's flash cards & Kaplan books if anyone needs .. all u have to do is apply yourself and make a study schedule and pray and you will pass .. good luck to all who will be joining the armed forces .

A Bachelors degree will help a great deal. No one seems to understand that that ridiculous test is at university level. Moreover, no calculators, being with 100s and 1000s of people sitting in one room counting on their fingers. Really? Back in the 90s it was a little easier..

I didn’t study for more than an hour and got bored and scored a 66. I’m not bragging but I’m trying to make a point that all I did was pay attention in school and that played a major factor in passing and eventually becoming an airmen

My recruiter blindsided me. We were talking about medical documents and suddenly he goes, "You seem smart. Let's take the practice test. Just go in that room and feel free to use the scrap paper" I was completely unprepared. Hadn't been in school for 7 years. I scored a 77. It was such a relief. I honestly thought it was going to be like taking the SAT, but it was mostly just making sure you retained basic knowledge in the two basic subjects of Math and English.
I took a army practice test got a 86 then wanted to see what was up with the airforce so I went and took their test.. now I must admit I half assed the math which I think dropped my score for the practice test and got a 25.. but I’m going to take it again on Tuesday I just needed a quick math refresher and I’m back at it good luck guys!!!

Suggest local library to check out books on the asvab. Also may help in review sat or act study books. Also local library may have video or audio help study for asvab. If use a smartphone may be able to download asvab app. Good luck.

All you gotta do is get a high enough line score for the jobs you want. I got a 64 on the ASVAB but averaged a 113 GT score and that qualified me for all the jobs I wanted. I'm also really bad at math.

If you have a GED for the branches of the military you would need to score in the 50's and 60's... Varies upon the branch.

Nice my girl is in the 82nd Airborne bro just score higher than a 60 and make sure you are a PT stud 300+ score and you can do well at Airborne school

How long did you study for ? I have my asvab for dummies book and I’ve been studying since the 1st. I have the test end of this month first time I made a 22 very disappointed math isn’t my strong suit

Forgive my ignorance but when I took the ASVAB it was never a pass or fail test. It was only used to determine a recruit's aptitude and which field would be a good fit for them.
Same I'll be taking mine @ October 19. 3 weeks also to study though!!

So i have to take a confirmation test cause of my recent tets score in october 2016 was 20 points or more thatn my test i took in high school in april 2016 & failed but since my test in april has expired like been more than 6 months do i still have to take the confirmation test or do i have to take the asvab over again??
