Man, you're making me a little bit misty eyed, here. I always dreaded having to make the FMM/bank border run every 6 months, when I lived in Popotla and Ensenada, now I'm missing it like crazy. I can almost hear that funny crosswalk robot voice saying "Camino de la Plaza".

There’s a really cool pharmacy close to there called Amsterdam in Plaza Viva Tijuana in front of Easy Park. They have hard to find stuff like Retin A, Latisse and other stuff.
I’ve been there but the thing is you gotta go early in the morning because if you go in the afternoon the lines can be very long

I was in Tijuana three days ago. We drove down from Santa Monica, parked and crossed at San Ysidro, can't remember if it was Ped West or East, I remember one was closed. The amount of traffic coming back across driving later was insane, maybe wait, we walked back across in 40 minutes, pedestrian traffic looked about the same here. faster if you've got Sentri as you can see!

Can u use you drivers license to cross back to the USA?
Be sure you have enough time to cross in case of big lines. We waited two hours in the first line and then fifteen minutes in the next.
Global entry allows you to bypass the line, but unlike flying, they cannot use only your passport, physical card is required.
Did you have Global Entry and still had to wait 2 hours?

If you have global entry, can you bypass the line all the way to the white tents ? Or You can only bypass after you pass the first check point ( white tents ).
You can bypass all the way until the Sentri lines, however you need to have a physical Global Entry card

Hello, What steps are required to obtain the Centro card, if going to cross over by foot?
Google the sentri website and apply….you have to pay a fee and interview for it
when you drive through with a sentri does everyone need to have a sentri who is in the car?

The issue has come up, in the absence of a SENTRI card, is a passport an absolute requirement? According to friends who returned recently, the answer is no. A DL and a birth certificate will do the job. You may be asked a few extra questions. This could change in the future, I suppose...
Correct, a passport or passport card is best, but a DL and birth certificate will work. You might be put into secondary for additional questioning from what I’ve seen but, no big deal
Having a passport or passport card has been a US requirement for over a decade. But the officers are going to be lenient if its shown that you're a US citizen. You might get a lecture or be delayed as they run computer checks on you. Depends on the attitude of the individual officer. A passport card is cheap. $30. No reason to avoid getting one. And Mexico now demands that you produce a passport if you're walking into their country. They may very well refuse you entry if you have no passport.
I don't know if anyone is gonna answer but I have a question, so I'm a US citizen but have been living in mexico since 11 years old, I'm 21 now and my passport is expired and I want get back into the US but can't get it renewed at the moment due to the pandemic, I'm wondering if I could cross into the us using only my birth certificate and/or my expired child passport
Yes you can David. Those are sufficient documents. Might take a few questioning but you’re fine.

You can only use the CBX crossing when you are either going to board a plane within 24 hrs. or are arriving via air.

All the taxi drivers know where to go when you say 'take me to the border' or 'la linea'. No address necessary.

In the early 80s we would party in Rosarito and would stop at that Jack in the Box to get food to sop up the alcohol usually about 4 in the morning

what documents do they check at the border.......are there any organized groups who help those aspirants by charging some money to make a reality of clean and safe entry to the USA ...either by bypassing the document that are checked or validated in border or by arranging the necessary documents whether real or something that looks real just sufficient enough to convince the security guard or military personnel or border patrol officer in charge of usa mexico officer....

I believe you need a passport
I did that for the trip I'm on now but the border police especially in the Tijuana airport will hound you about not having your passport but it can be done. It comes down to how they are feeling bc they can be some real assholes but checking in for a flight and boarding will not be a problem

Yes the border crossings are open all night. I remember going over from El Paso to Juarez Mexico to drink, lots of college kids from NMSU and UTEP crossing over to party then come back over in the early morning hours.

What’s a sentri card
it is a fast border crossing card for Mexicans and Americans who are driving or walking across the US - Mexico border. Instead of waiting for hours in the line, you can speed the process from hours to mins
It is a card issued by the US Govt. Homeland Security after you complete an application, are interviewed, fingerprinted, photographed, and a complete FBI background investigation is conducted. Average wait time in the past is around 6 months and can be longer. Approximately 1/3 of applications are denied - many because of lies or omissions in the application process. Costs around $120 the first time and is good for 5 years.
