For proof of cohabitation… they need 12 documents. If you attach a joint account thats 1. They need 6 documents addressed to both of you or 12 documents send individually. So if u attached a document sent to you and your hubby individually in same address thats not a problem but that counts as 1 each, you will therefore need 6 each to make 12. So the bills addressed to you too should be 6 or 12 individuals. So if u have a joint account thats 1, if council tax is in both names thats 2, bank statement each thats 3(1 for him and one for you together is 1), then you can add tenancy agreement of mortgage statement, phone bills, electricity, gas… so yea it needs to be dated as far back as 2yrs ago also and not jst the last 6 months.
Best of luck, however, to anyone who is planning to make an application to the Home Office, please consult an immigration adviser. You can even go to the Citizens Advice Bureau for free. Immigration law is very complicated; some of the issues mentioned here could have been easily foreseen by a solicitor and therefore avoided, especially when paying for a priority service, which is more risky.

Thank God I attached hubbys name to mine from back home when I did my passport before travelling. So all my documents in UK have it already😊

Always try get an immigration adviser or solicitor to help you with application process as it be complicated

Hi, i'm just seeing your comment. Dependants are required to still write the test. it's only a few that are exempted like the very young and the very old. I also explained the type of english test dependants are required to take in the video where i talked about how to apply for ILR for dependants

But is it true ILR is for 3years now and not 5years?
Thank you. The duration of stay in the UK before you are eligible for ILR depends on your visa type. For skilled workers, it is still the same 5 years. nothing changed. For students, it is 10 years. For some visa types like the innovator founder visa, it is 3 years.

Congratulations 🎉. Does it mean that everyone must write English Test (I.e IELTS) before getting ILR in the UK 🇬🇧?
From my understanding, it's only for those that English is not their first language. i don't know if Naric will be accepted for those that did their basic qualification in the UK or any other country where English is the first language.
The general rule is that if you have already proven your English language with your former visa, you don't need to write or prove your English language.

Council tax is an example of letter that has your name and your husband's name

down to personal preference. using your maiden name has no implications on any UKVI application. as long as you have your marriage certificate, you are covered.

I lost my card in 2022 have applied twice for it still no reply so annoying
Do you apply for ILR at exactly the finish of 5 years,for exampl e if one came in june 2020,when can it be possible to apply for ILR?
yes i waited and started counting from the day i landed in the UK. some people would say the 5 years starts counting from the day the visa was approved but for me i didn't want to risk that amount of money so i waited instead. 1 month is nothing compared to 5 years of waiting.
This story is quite unsettling but good thing you gave us heads up by saying if you put it out, means everything has been resolved. Thank God for you.
I have a question though-can one use UKNARIC as proof of English for ILR application?
Thanks. my husband did not do NARIC evaluation. We decided to Just do the english test Instead of spending money for Naric and still being asked to do the test. He did language Cert SELT B1 for listening and speaking only.
If you had a Vida and proof your English language then, then you don't need English language for ILR
I think she is asking about dependants. You don't need to do any English test to get a dependant visa

Proof of English proficiency for someone who has lived in the country for 5 years, doesn't make sense. Even if the person could speak English initially, I'm sure the person will be able to speak English, it's common sense. Why stress to start changing names🤔
That logic doesn’t apply in the US. many, if not most non English speaking immigrants can spend decades living in the US and still not speak English well enough to be understood by an english speaker.
As long as you weren’t born in the country, you need to prove your proficiency.
It’s the same for other EU countries as well as.
Hey, your IELTS would have been expired 5 years later,did you still use it?
they didn't ask me to upload it. even though it has expired, i got my nmc pin and first skilled worker visa with it so i was not required to do it again or submit a new one that is why it's advisable to use the UKVI ielts when applying for your work visa instead of the standard ielts

Please can utility bill be used in place of the letter you mentioned? Like bills that have both your names on them
Utility bill should be ok but to be safe you can also include the house contract so they don't come back to ask for more information

What other documents did you add to your application? Did you add your payslips for the whole 5 years?
No just the most recent payslip. 1 payslip and the amount on the payslip has to be visible in the bank statement you are providing.

At the end of your application you will be told what to submit. For me i have 2jobs. For my main job dey requested 6months payslip and for my part time job they requested 12 months payslip.

Priority is an extra £500 per person
Why do you need COS for ILR
To prove you have permission to stay in the country as a skilled worker. Your employer gives you the COS and they is what you use to apply for your work visa.

Write NCLEX in UK and also, there are recruitment agencies that can help you with the recruitment in the UK
not to upset you but i have heard that CGFNS does not think the UK nursing qualification is comparable to the US standard. UK trained nurses may have to take extra courses to meet the requirements so you should start by looking into what these courses are first.
If u studied in Uk will u need to write the English exam?
i'm not 100% sure of the answer to this question. but if that qualification is not a basic one that is like a BSC then it may not be accepted but don't take my word for it. i may be wrong

Quick question please, for someone with company A CoS & have use 1yr 5month and later switch employer to another company B CoS, will home office ask for both CoS when applying for ILR?…
No, as long as company B gives you COS, you should be fine. you can only have 1 valid COS so your new COS cancels the one from Company A
