Because of Ninjas Battlers (Alt form) of his range can damage the Base.
He died because the Base reached 0 HP causing an Auto-death

1:54 pretty sure thats not an intended death anim, its more that several different animations get layered ontop of one another as doombringer uses his different moves depending on his health, but due to the base destruction he automatically drops to 0, triggering all the anims at once (wish they wont patch it though lol)
