First three records are classy and flawless.
You mean Half Hour of Power or Chuck?
@@arthurbrito5139, AFNK, DTLI and Chuck.
@@sevasleva7926 HHOP is great too, you should check it out
@@sevasleva7926 You heard OiD yet? Super good. SBM wad pretty great, too. Underclass Hero and 13 Voices were pretty meh.
Nostalgia is a drug
Being a teen back in the late 90s / early 2000s would have been such great fun.
It was!
Funny i say the same about the 80's rock bands. xxx
@@gerydblackmore5484 the are also cool
Hell if you didn't live in the 70,s 80s or the 90s then you don't know what cool was life was fun and it didn't matter what we listen to because I myself listen to all kinds of music and got along with the crowd that you were with at the moment! Everyone was just waiting to find out who they were, not who people wanted you to be!
It was
I miss the Astoria. It was such a great venue
rip sum 41 🙏
thank you for so many great years ❤
Welcome back
Такие группы никогда не умирают,они всегда будут живы 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

This defines my entire life for the last 2 decades.
Damn, what happened to music :D
same, this, offspring, blink... so many childhood memories. I'm glad i was a teen back then and not listenning to nicki minaj or Lil Uzi 6Inine etc.
every early 2000s pop punk band really sang straight out of their nose lmao. can't help but love them though
Yup hahaha
well he's got alot of nose to sing out of
They were all head voice and belting lol
@@catface101 Dont be a hater alligator

nostalgia
I miss the early 2000’s
I got DTLI and this live DVD came with it. Funny enough though it was the heavily edited version, so now watching it unedited 15 years later really gives me a fresh and nostalgic perspective. It aged well.
Why does nobody mention that Rage Against The Machine reference starting at 36:46?
That Take the Power Back riff fits so well here! Really nice!
You right
Awww good Times....
always satisfying when a band is tight live
Best punk rock band sum 41
they're awesome
considering the band had only been 5 years in its existence by the time they played this show, the evident maturity, talent and obvious work ethic this band had and has is rather obvious by watching it. they work hard man, really, really hard. and it really, really shows!
If you havent watch their "dont try this at home" documentry
Man stevo was an awesome drummer
Wow thanks
Their golden days
No phones just hands and faces
The best performance from sum 41..
I enjoy Sum 41 but I wasn't expecting this to be uploaded to this channel. LOL
Ive always loved this band, since i was 13 year 2000
I wish I could have been a teen/early 20s back then. I was like 6
safia bella yeahh
I saw them back in 2002. I was 8 years old. First concert!
I was 0
I wish too
I was 1 lol
this was a year before I was born and I live like its this era
Damn right.
32 dropping his stick on the first verse of fat lip was epic.
38:47 Epic drumstick fail
haha i saw
What. A. Show. Great guys! Sigh the days... :)
First time i saw them was on this tour only at leeds student union it was a very small venue i must have been 13! Couldnt buy a drink but it was amazing! Pure magic.
When I was 19, I used to listen to their songs.
Great gig🤘
Thank you for sharing this! was in my first and last show 4 days ago in Indonesia. Rad!!
7:39 yeah you tell 'em Dave!.... "there's nothin' in my bag!"...
I come back here at least once a year
Steve-O really added a lot to the band. Great drummer.
i remember having this live on my MP4, i watched it in secret at bed time haha :) Good memories
Why I just know this masterpieces 😢😢
Hard to think that some of these kids are now grown people with kids, bank debts, even their own gravestone and not walking this earth anymore, but it’s also a bit relieving to think that some of them can always come back to this and bring up their happiest days again and again.
32:05 Dave's scream caught me off guard
When he said he drunk too much before the show its kind of sad cause few years after he nearly death because of alcohol
Oh man! Teen angst and skateboards. That's what rock is all about. Great stuff BlinkSpring😂
This is cool
in live of sum 41 from youtubee very exciting !! jumpingg , singingg !! crazyyy !
I guess we all should’ve expected that one day they’d become the metal band that they are today! I mean they were playing slayer between songs haha
The chuck album is something else...you wouldn't say its sum 41. Really heavy riffs
oh god that fat lip intro was spot on
Not a phone in sight ❤
8:44 "Right here buddy" bro sounds so chill
i love em so much god damn X"D
That random Slayer cover cracked me up, I believe Brownsound is a huge Thrash fan, I got his solo CD with his brother very good shit!
It was also to pad out the set cos they had so few songs back then
Great show.I was there in the audience
nice
90s were fucking amazing! Why the hell had that era to end so fast??? ❤
Why did I only discover this now?😅🔥✊
Handle this is fucking siick 😂🤘🤘
Holy. Shit.
Sum 41 or Green Day?
Sum 41: Like
Green Day: Comment 💚
Sum 41
Both
Audio freakin badass
Audio freakin *sucks* to me. It sounds so dull and just downright feels out-of-tune and poor. It does not sound live _at_ _all_ . Are all the guitars even going through an amplifier? I'm not an audio expert but it sounds like one of the guitar's sound isn't even going through an amplifier, the tone is just that bad.
@@Alex-ABPerson you’d be correct in assuming so, I came here from Deryck’s Instagram comments. He says they used line 6 pros instead of amps for a brief period in 2001 and that they did NOT sound good. I came to hear for myself. He was absolutely right, tone is ass.
@@kierangardner4993 wow, I'm amazed I correctly identified the problem, then! I'm just so used to hearing my guitar NOT out of an amp (because I'm cheap and have yet to get an actual proper amp), so that's why I picked up on it
22:16
I’m in a rowdy crowd shot on this DVD!
LMAO I skipped around to see what was happening and they started playing Slayer and I was just like " . . . What?"
Love 4m India 🇮🇳
Deryck's kermit impression is spot on.
Ahh, Deryck's super nasally and whiny stage. Still good, but glad he got better around DTLI.
Fat lip starts 150 bpm ans finished 437
That's the reason the drummer was replaced by Frank Zummo, Steve couldn't be consistent on the tempo
@@mnsamusicentertainment3593 i dont think thats why he left
All killer era🫶🏼🤟🏻
First song I’ve heard from them was “makes no difference” off of Dave mirra 2 when I was like 6.
How come we dont have this sum 42 anymore
41
I love FATLIP!!
8:32 Deryck " i dont wanna this that shit for the rest of the show (metal horns)"
24:22 deryck doing metal horns anyway .... (and enter to the stage drinking a beer... ) fucking mini-leyend
Респект автору! Я уж думал, хрен где найду лайв 2001го
went from this to MANDATORY trap rap and face tattoos of OF PUCCI
someone likes slayer
because they raised in that era of metal groups
0:22 those two kids look like a 15 year old Deryck & Stevo
16:36 - 16:40 always gets me :D
I wish i was born in this time. But i was born in 2009.
5:43 sexy pinch harmonic
32:06 when you stub your toe on *_HARD_* metal by accident and the nails split open...
Ahhhhh back when they were cool
When they were not cool?
They're still cool lmao
@@HomelessSoldierMan Yeah they're back
they're better now, his singing technique is infinitely better now and their new music is their best since chuck it seems.
Andrew Maderer theyre latest album ya by far the best since Chuck and all killer man...
Stop hating on them
38:28
Its sounds like blink 182
Hamdle this 26:08
Right, where's my skateboard?
Aha wrong lyrics during rhythms that's cool
where?
@@mTwMarco He said "I'm fallin' faster all the time" twice instead of saying "Somehow it's never up to me"
@@tracy1210 Haha now I see, thanks. Also in their performance in tokyo he messed the lyrics up on some parts :D
@@mTwMarco Yes it's a great performance and it shows they're humans :p
They speed up the tempo really bad on that 2nd half of Fat Lip
When Deryck is not drunk
is this question?
They like Michelle more than Canadians LOL
8:00
Cropped ratio;(
God that intro was so sloppy.
I can't belive I grew up on Sum 41's music and I've never seen this live DVD. What a treat
It wasnt even a DVD when i first got it, it was on VHS tape!
Definitely get the DVD! There’s a ton of other stuff on it that is hilarious. 😁👍🏽🎶🎶
crazy how not tight they were during this, but 2 years later live in Tokyo like a different band!
They are reasonably tight. They just can’t control their tempo.
@@ChristoffaScott They didn't play to a click live then, they started that in 2002 and have ever since... hence why they could then keep to tempo!
thanks unidisc for the record
TIL the 41 salute dates all the way back from the beggining
