I'm an atiny and I don't really know much about theories regarding Ateez universe but! I thought that it would be cool to say that even if illusion is a very bright song, it has a very mysterious touch to it!
You said you wondered how they would do a younger concept given that Ateez are very good at more dark and manly performances. I think illusion is a very good example of how they can do anything and turn it into their own.
I really like this song, performance and MV. I'm team illusion to the fulles.
You know, it can be very entertaining to try and see beyond the illusion into the reality!
There are very mysterious items and moments in the video if you look closer, like a fedora man in the island or a black mask in the ship, as if the darkness followed them 👀👀
Also, remember that you can watch the MVs at KQ official channel, I'm sure there are subtitles in a lot of different languages!

I really love how you mentioned all the members and not just paying attention to the member in the centre during the choreo! and i must agree how cute bouncy Jongho looks here 🥰
They said themselves that doing a cute concept was hard because they had to smile and look happy the whole performance. For the dark concepts at least, they were able to be play off being tired as being charismatic/having a strong presence on stage.

Hey Jeff just to give you a heads up that the reason the MV didn’t have subs is that you watched the wrong one. This actually goes for all of ATEEZ’s videos but it’s best to watch the ones on KQ Entertainment’s channel because they always have subs whereas the versions posted on Stone Music (the one you watched) usually don’t. 😅
That being said, thank you for another great reaction and analysis of their dance! The tiktok comment killed me but I love how you talked about the facial expressions and how they were so clear in this one. They’ve mentioned it in several vlogs that they’ve done before on their logbook series as well as interviews that they work on image training a lot so it’s cool to see someone notice that and give them the kudos for it because honestly they deserve it. :’)

actually ateez themselves said that it's hard to do cute or bright concept like this (illusion is from the same cb with wave so ya...both of them are bright songs...) they said their face cramped so much because they have to keep smiling, meanwhile compared to darker concept, even when they're tired it would suit the concept
You should check out their relay dances (if you haven't already)! They have so much fun during them :)
I recommend you to watch Ateez-Aurora, I fall in love with both mv and choreography😭
