    It’s not a tax cut, the prices of things are still going up but at a slower rate. He must think the general public are stupid.

    Some people are utter morons. According to them -
    When inflation goes up "Blame Sunak".
    When inflation comes down "It's not because of Sunak"

    • @dvidclapperton
      @dvidclapperton 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      And there are plenty of moronic people who vote for the tories and again plan to vote tory who never blsme Sunak or any othef other tory PM for inflation going up and,showerd with praisecror inflation coming down , and would have blamed Starmer for the inflation going up, and would have given Starmer no credit at all for inflation coming down under the same set of economic circumstances if he was the labour PM. There have been loads of instances where inflation has been lower unde labour governments than there has been under a tory governments (and nowhere near all because or previously soaring inflation under labour. Inflation has soared undeer the tories too as well. How about that) and not just because labour inherited a low rate of inflation from the toried when they returned to office than when they last left office per tory scaremongering as though it would have quickly soared again within months of s labour government per tory claims (it didn't happen in the 1997 to 2010 labour givernment. And labour inherited a higher rate or inflation when they re-entered office in 1974 than when they left office in 1970, and when they left office in 1979 inflation was lower than when they entered office in 1974. And within year or Thatcher becoming PM in 1979 the infiation rate was higher again.)

      Inflation 17% under this tory government. Inflation lower in April 1970 and April 1979 than it was in April 1974 and was again higher in April 1980 than it was in April 1979. April 1974 and April 1980 was when the tories were in government, not labour. And the tories were responsible for half of the 1970's inflation rise and Inflation was already falling in 1976 under Labour. Inflation was about 16% in April 1974.
      It's certainly Not anybody's imagination tbat the boats further incressing immigration (and it was soaring anyway post December 2020 regardless or the boats) have happened under the tory government, not a labour government.
      3 recessions under tory government since May 2010 (none off them inherited from the 1997 to 2010 labour government. Economy was growing again after quarter 2 2009 to 2010 general election. It was a Cameron lie that the UK was still in recession when he replaced Brown as PM). The £ fell to US$1.03 in 2022 under tory government, the £ never fell to anywhere near that low under labour government.
      Starmer not taking the UK "effectively" back into EU if he becomes PM, he has already ruled it out. Heath took the UK into the EEC and Major signed the Maastricht treaty and there wasn't a labour PM in sight.
      The 3 day week happened in 1973 under Heath, not Wilson.
