Is there any skin treatments I can use pre-taping to help the irritation from removing the tape? I use oil/lotion to remove and shave beforehand but it still feels like a bad burn sometimes when removed. More so on the inner arm and my back.
What I usually do is soak in a warm bath for about 15 minutes or so and then carefully remove the tape while the skin is underwater, then I just wash and dry the skin normally and apply jojoba oil (or whatever skin oil your skin likes best-everyone's different) and lotion and that usually keeps irritation away and keeps my skin soft and healthy looking
Hi there I have the same issue here and I'm just wondering did tape it the same way like on the video or did you use a different technique?@@finethehuman1821
My guess is that it prevents you from leaning forward (having bad posture which often leads to this type of back pain). The aim is to keep your back nice and straight and when your body starts arching forward, you should notice the tension in your back from the tape which is compensating for what the muscle use to do. The muscle use to over work/over stretch when you arch forwards, taking the load of your upper body, but with the tape in place, the tape takes most of the load. Again, this is just my GUESS. Could be wrong.
+Jmann97 they're definitely not reusable, they stick to your skin like really really well unless you get a bad roll, but they're good for once use. But may stick to your skin for several days.. Eg. Mine for volleyball stayed on for four days and that is me showering 3 nights with it still sticking great.
I've been using the k tape since I got diagnosed with scoliosis, and I can say it has improved my posture so much!
Alby C what taping technique do you find helps the best with scoliosis?
KT Tape Original is made of cotton and stays on 1-3 days. KT Tape Pro is made of a synthetic fiber and stays on 3-7 days.
Thank you! Simple, and everything i needed.
Yes. Adjust it to cover your area of pain.

It would be awesome if you included acupuncture care in your list of complementary treatments. Acupuncture is so helpful!! Thanks!

Is there a difference between KT tape pro and KT tape
Pro is better with strength and more
Unsually middle back strip line not big scapular in back sceleosis..
I lean forward and then a 25% stretch is applied. Isn't this all undone after I stand up? It seems the stretch is undone upon standing.

Are they reusable? Or do I have to use a new piece each time?

How do you do this by yourself?
