I also request UT administration to impose special fees on these so called stakeholders and all associated with them in the name of CSR and use these funds for the rejuvenation of the resources and environment that are getting damaged because of tourism.

This union of all other unions should have a brain storming session and find out the low turn out of tourists to ladakh and India in general. If you study the almost no tourist arrivals in Goa in the beginning of the tourist season a number of reasons came out loud and clear and it was no surprise that the same reasons are applicable here too. 1- The budget to travel to Ladakh( Goa )including air fare is same when you travel to south east asian countries . These countries have better infrastructure, well organised tourism council,safe, and clean and hygienic food chain 2- In both Goa and Ladakh the taxi mafia is sending negative signals to the tour operators . The charges for a few kilometres is unimaginable. 3 - High handedness towards the tourists by locals which includes bad behaviour by cafe owners and their staff,local restaurants not serving the tourists properly,local boys often getting into scuffles with tourists on minor issues. Non coperation in such cases from the police department. 4- one particular tour operator and writer found the local produce including handicrafts artifacts and agriculture produces so highly priced that he termed the exchange as pur fleecing. The union should study these ill practices if we need a flourishing tourism business in future.
We allow all vehicles to tourist palaces and promote more areas of ladakh like Kargil,Aryan valley,,zanskar and Sham Area...why restrictions on kargil bound vehicles in Nubra and changthang..Tourism is the backbone of our economy UT Administration plz Take it seriously
Kargil gonpa should be allowed to be rebuilt. There shouldn't be double standards. For earning money they can enter Gonpa premises but won't allow rebuilding gonpa in Kargil!!
Tourists are beaten up at various places during peak season due to path yatra and ladakh bandh for 6th schedule. Then why are we asking for the decrease of tourism in ladakh this year.
What about environment and the fragile eco system of ladakh jiske liye anshan kar rahe ho? There will be shortage of water if glaciers deplete and hotels use most amount of water in their toilets and bathrooms. Only talking about your hotels! other public has no benefit only facing lack of resources.
The maximum indian tourism in ladakh is low pay more trash. There is nothing left to show for niche tourist classic trekking trails are turned into road ancient monasteries are modernized look. Too many cement and concrete hotels horrible traffic system. So year by year there will be only low pay tourism wants very cheap deals. To attract healthy tourism needs unique but all uniqueness of ladakh has already gone. If i had a money ladakh would be the least on my list of destinations by seeing the ongoing situation
