- What’s up, everybody? Freddy Drone here...and yes, I'm revealing my last name here finally and it is "Drone" LOL. This past weekend my beautiful wife and I drove upstate to Watkins Glen State Park and hiked the Glen Creek Gorge Trail. We hadn’t been this far north in New York State before. Watkins Glen is about a 4 1/2 hour drive upstate from where we live and is on the south end of Seneca Lake, which is part of the Finger Lakes. This mountainous tree filled area is truly stunning and the Gorge Trail accentuates its beauty! It’s about a 2.2 mile out-and-back hike with roughly 832 steps to scale and 19 waterfalls to take in. We highly recommend this place, but you’ll definitely need some comfortable hiking shoes…and of course a Drone! 😜 My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves here and we’re already planning a Fall trip back.
