Nowadays I wanna see Greg Olsen with him. He is the GOLDEN STANDARD of an NFL commentator. He knows the excitement of the game, and is beloved by many. To get to know him would be an honor. The greatest to ever do it
@@aks957 Summerall is a legend for sure, but I just find Nantz a bit more fun to listen to. He gets more wrapped up in the emotion of whatever game he's calling, which I appreciate.
@@ArgentPendragon I'm a Pats fan, so that moment was a bit painful but me, but yes, it was an incredibly impressive sequence for Kevin Harlan. Dude's a beast!
Jim the only play by play announcer on the NFL on CBS today that remains from when CBS had the NFC. He was part of that era from 1987-1993. Nantz and Randy Cross did the Packers-Cowboys playoff game in 1993 on CBS. He’s called his first NFL game when Tony Romo was about 8 years old!
Jim's recall made me feel like I have dementia...he's AMAZING. Romo....I'm not a fan of. I'd turn the channel if I hadn't been watching football longer than TR's been alive.
Should have done a compilation of all of Nantz's great calls that were ruined by Romo rambling incessantly. like the Super Bowl last year. Or that very same Bland pick-6 call
@@fluffshepnetwork7067 not a ridiculous take. Aikmen is mostly unremarkable, but I'll take that any day over Romo who never shuts the fuck up. Jim Nantz is an all time great, but I can't even enjoy his games anymore since he teamed up with Romo
Tony in awe of Jim just like me. What a man
Jim has way more than 5 minutes of epic calls
Nantz and Eagle be watching their call compilations on their free time for sure
Minor error: Daron bland game was Washington @ Dallas. The video shows it as the other way around (see 3:52)

Best NFL play-by-play commentator of all-time? Quite possibly, certainly the best in my lifetime.
Pat Summerhal might have something to say about that...Murder She Wrote.....

Kevin Harlan’s my favorite. “I’M CALLING BOTH GAMES!”

He’s great, but Joe Buck is better imo

That Bland call gives me shivers
Can you do this with both Spero Dedes and Andrew Catalon, as well as Ian Eagle?
the way jim should have remembered the 2015 miracle in motown was the golden 50 yard line. super bowl 50.
GOAT
surprised 2016's "for the championship" wasn't here
Jim is AWESOME and too bad none of them were Basketball calls!
Romo there for emotional support
I was impressed until Jim said overtime in the Superbowl. There's only been two overtime Superbowls.

Salvation: repent(change your mind about sin and attitude to the way God sees it.) and trust in Jesus
