Songs in mashrap event ( traditional cultural gatherings of Uyghur people with singing and dancing) somewhere near Ghulja city were performed by artists in the uniform of former National Army, formed on April 08 1945 during fight against Kuomintang. At that time Stalin gave weapons to Uyghurs just to betray them in 1949, making deal with Mao and executing leadership in Moscow. Officially National Army joined Chinese PLA on December 20 1949 as 5th Army Corps, but on next 2 years was disarmed, being transforming into Production and Construction Corps. Many officers and soldiers were arrested and executed, this fate was already sealed on June 06 1946 when National Army seized fire on the brink of full victory, stopped fighting and " Peace Agreement " was signed in Urumchi with Chiang Kai-Shek representatives under Moscow mediation, both Chinese and Soviet communists hated Second ETR and consider it just as a temporary measure to fulfill aspirations of local people. Minister of MGB of USSR General Victor Abakumov who interrogated and tortured President of ETR Ahmetjan Qasimi in Moscow on August 27 1949 told him that Uyghur Republic will never appear on the map of the Earth, but he himself was executed in 1954, Stalin was poisoned in 1953, Beria, Dekanosov were shot dead in 1953, Sudoplatov and Eitingon were arrested in 1953 and came out as sick people many years later, USSR itself was erased from the map of the Earth in 1991.
Are they singing about the revolution that established the Second East Turkestan Republic in the 1940s? Could somebody translated the lyrics into English? I would really appreciate it! Was this filmed in or near Ghulja? It's hard to believe that Chinese government would allow such open celebration of former East Turkestan Republic.
Nice song. The music sounds like Uighur, but the dresses of the people look very Soviet-style, and not those of Xinjiang in China. Is the music scene shot at one of the former Soviet Republics in central Asia?
The dress is the uniform of the national army of the second East Turkistan which existed in 1944~1949. The song was one of the popular songs sing among soldiers at that time. This performance was to remember these who fallen for their fatherland. The scene was shot in Xinjiang before 2000, now it is impossible.
Why do you think ots Soviet style dresses? This is typical Uyghur dresses, Uyghur "picnics" in Uyghur region until 2015. Uyghurs go to picnics like this with a few musicians, often folklore singers, food put on rugs, drinks. Judging from their clothes, this is like 1970s or early 1980s if not earlier. Iyghurs were in much better shape before Chinese flooded in our region. I've been to many picnics like this.

Interesting in using button accordions instead of the key accordions and with music having a little taste of some Swiss Alpen

十年前新疆各地拍摄麦西来普节目。这是乌鲁木齐麦西来普节目里的所谓三区革命民族军进行曲之一,原来是民歌。
It's a love song. Uyghur region was pretty much like this until 2015.
@@tarimglobal4940 This isn't 10 years ago. Judging from the clothes, caps, it would be at least 1970s, early 1980s, if not earlier.
