I loved David Bowie all my life since I was 9yrs old and was devastated by his death. He was so talented and innovative. There will never be another like him 😢❤
I was 9 when I first heard him and still love his music to this day at 63yrs old. RIP😢😢😢
The moment he put his arm round Mick Ronson is iconic in British music history.,,
Both very sadly missed 😢
Iconic as musicians and as pop figures... Bowie never found a match after Ronson departure, and he had brilliant guitarists
He is magical ❤ big fan. You must listen to more of he's songs!!
I think you need to hear this entire album, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars. It's a concept album about an alien who tries to save earth as a rock and roll star. Other songs to hear are Suffragette City, Moonage Daydream, Five Years and Ziggy Stardust. The entire album is incredible, definitely a must hear!
The coolest human being of all time
The greatest Top of the Pops performance of all time. Bowie raised an army of fans following this appearance and changed Britain forever. Some other Bowie Magical Mometns: watch him perform Heroes at Live Aid; Ashes to Ashes promo video; Wild is the Wind at Glastonbury.
my favorite record of all time. rip Bowie, the true king
One of Bowie's best songs and that is high praise because he has so many great ones.
I was 13 when this came out and the next day the whole school was talking about it.
Love him and this song, my fav song by him!

Perfect Together
I saw this when it aired. Now that was a surprise!
Thanks, Lucie - glad you saw the live version.. David was amazing... a truly unique talent.. and this is one of my favorites by him... look forward to more reactions from you... (p.s. besides his many other hits, a great one from this era is "Rock n Roll Suicide".. find it live, if you can...)
This was a huge turning point in British TOTP performances. I was a little girl watching this, and instantly fell in love with David, plus he sounded like me being another South Londoner.
You wouldn't believe the furore that Bowie putting his arm around Ronson caused when this first aired.
He is great. I have seen him 3 times in concert! He had such a great voice. Please react to China Girl, Wild is the Wind and
I would be your slave (live). 😉

The drummer, Mick Woodmansey, is the only Spider from Mars alive. 'Arm on shoulder' moment. Iconic in the UK.

Once you're bitten by the Bowie Bug ,there's no going back...so more more to discover. ENJOY!❤
Welcome to 'The world of Bowie'. The Genre? Bowie of course.
You really liked this, didn't you, Lucie? Good on you!
I’m jealous cos you have so many treats ahead with the vast catalogue of Bowie right up to 2016 with Black Star
You have to see the scene in the movie “The Martian” where Matt Damon is shooting through space suspended with zero gravity while this song is being played!
Yes! Not very Bowie knowledgeable as I was born a few years after this act. However, wow to have FINALLY come across this performance just last month! It's one of the best performances I've ever seen! Special mention to the movie THE MARTIAN for this and showing my 10 year old, he loves it too!
Based on Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
You should react to "Space Oddity" great reaction !!!!

Imagine grimgrey UK in the economic ruins of the early 70s. Bowie appeared to us like a literal god.
That was at a time when TOTPs had live acts. In later years everything was lip-synced.
Suffragate City
David was a class act his whole life.
