@cuddysbookshelf yeah I'm all right. I'm enjoying my work again and doing things solo like going to a cafe to read my book all afternoon lol. I was on a dating website and saw my ex on there so that was pleasant lol. That's what it's about, I'm so glad we have books to escape to x

congratulations on surpassing 500!! 🥳 amazing and so well deserved! great haul - loved watching! i might be just a little bit jealous over that pretty edition of the last murder at the end of the world. 👀 the watersones edition of play of shadows is gorgeous as well! christmas: definitely would recommend peter swanson’s the christmas guest. i listened to the audiobook last christmas and went on to buy the book earlier this year. it’s short, but a great read. spooky season: i’m saving silverweed road by simon crook. can’t say whether it’s any good as i haven’t read it yet. 🤞 i read perilous times last august and enjoyed the humor, banter, and the overall idea of it. but it fell a bit short for me with some on the nose politics. gave it 3.5*. hope you’ll enjoy the new emily henry as much as i did! btw, i finally started and read the first two volumes of kaiju no. 8. thanks for recommending! i’m really enjoying reading about kafka and ichikawa. it’s quite funny, which i wasn’t expecting. have a lovely day, cuddy, and happy reading! 💜

@@cuddysbookshelf the only time i’m not so fond of the rain is during summer when unbearable heat is turned into even more unbearable humidity. 🤣 yes, whiny season is upon us. and i’m dreading it. ugh. but, just like last summer and the one before, i shall endure and survive (and whine and complain). you do seem to have lovely paths for your walks. everything so lush and green. and, most notably, not overrun with hundreds of people. that sounds dangerous indeed 😬 just grab the one book you’re looking to buy and otherwise just look at books you already bought and have waiting for you on your tbr/shelves. yea, i know, wishful thinking 😆 i’m still curious to see which book you’ll pick up! (and will be drooling over the cake 😁). don’t worry about not talking at waterstones, i probably wouldn’t even be brave enough to film 🫣
