#worldbuilding #100kspecial
Would people actually want me to make this into a series? 😳
that'd be awesome man, i love worldbuilding stuff and especially what you've made
Obvious answer
*Yes.*
yessss
O PALI A
YES. This freeform worldbuilding of lore without any fully formed story attached is exactly the kind of thing I could create and consume for the rest of my life.
Wasn’t a surprise to me (Conlangers making fantasy worlds is a given)
Not me, I just made one for the hell of it
If I actually had friends I would do something like this and get them into dnd to use it.
I would also make language(s) that the races would use.
sounds sick (in a good way)
actually also like it's sick that you'd make your friends go through that D:
@@kklein probably why I don't have any 🥲
I know I am a nerd, and I bet most (especially my age) would be like that. I also never had any language in school so if I actually act on it I would (probably) try to overcorrect
@@TheStickCollector hang in there you'll find the right ppl
@@TheStickCollectorI'm the kind of girl who definitely would love to create a language and world with my friends. I'm actually DMing a Tormenta20 campaign (a brazillian TTRPG) and I try as much as possible to make them worldbuild with me during the game, even though they prefer to just let me do everything by myself.
"I eat and consume for it is that which I do" - Educated Garfielf, 2013
Oh hi
Also my roommate.
Damn, this is some Brontë siblings-level childhood world building.
Edit: I'm aware Tolkien is possibly a better analogy overall, given that you created a language for this world, but the fact that you started at 5 years old is so striking to me. The Brontës are literally the only other people I've heard about doing that.
I've been working on my own writing project creating my own world (it's more of a science fantasy alternate history, but still) so I see you as a great inspiration. Hope you enjoy working on your project as much as I'm working on mine
will always be the one project i come back to i think, i hope you keep going with yours too!!
Menizario is such a pretty sounding name
Sounds like a character that'd be in The Count of Monte Cristo.
Actually, Renaissance-era mercantilist dragons sounds like it'd be an interesting setting.
Very Italian 🤌
Good job, Joklein Roklein Roklein Toklein.
im starting to fall in love with drawing fantasy maps
thank you for inspiration
OpenGeoFiction
This is amazing! Especially that story at the end feels like an actual fable from an ancient culture.
I find it ironic that one of the types of dragon look like Dragonflies (Klein that’s clever ;3)
Your Dycratus video inspired me to start fleshing out an alien world for a project that I've been working on for years, and start writing a conlang for it.
So excited to see more of this amazing world.
I’ve been waiting for a sequel for the previous video for months
I would love to see book in this world one day
The planet is a bubble in a cup of wine being held up by Socrates before he is killed
Every new world building video on this website is a welcome joy
Glad i was finally able to watch this, its wonderful
So cool to see someone so invested into a world they've created.
new k klein video 🔥 let's go
where? TO PARTYLAND AAAAAAAAAAAAA
1:08 THANK YOU, too many worldbuilders are taking the wonder out of worldbuilding 😭😭
i like the whole story with menizario and the nameless one it really feels like ancient human mythology
Really enjoyed that story. love the sound of the name too!
Awesome! Would love to know more about all those eras!
I love this! It makes me want to make videos about my own languages and worlds. Please make this a series, I'd love to watch it.
This was really fascinating :) love hearing about created things like this :D thank you so much for sharing
Congratulations for the 100k 👏👏
Lowkey developing an urge to draw something from this omg - I absolutely love the worldbuildibg and the story was awesome :D
Very cool project.And surprisigly philosophically.
Wow, this is awesome! I would love to see more content about this. I also have a fantasy world I have been working on since I was around nine years old for nine years now. It certainly needs more work, and is not as developed as yours appears to be to me. I love dragons, so of course my world also has them.
Dude tbh this was so inspirational. The way they talked abt the history makes me want to flesh out more history for my book, considering I've already made some of my own eras.
This is so cool! I find mythology so interesting! Go, K!
In my mind Menizario is the Lord Byron of the dragons, off on his 'Grand Tour' and assisting rebellions.
Very cool. I'd love to learn more, specificaly the slurs of this universe's various wonderful languages
This is incredibly intriguing. I also have a world I created when I was roughly five and which I steadily expanded upon, even after deciding that I was already too old to continue and I destroyed the planet by the means of the ancient ones awaking (which gave the story an ending point, but didnt stop me from expanding what happens before).
And well, Ive also always wanted to write everything down, but it seems so overwhelming, especially since I'm missing roughly 500 years between the beginning of my world (earth colonizing a habitable planet after it begins to crumble due to the climate) and the time where I've truly fleshed out everything, from technology over politics to culture and individual people.
Can you give me a recommendation how to best approach this?
Would love to see more of Dycratus!
Hope there is enough interest for a second channel or maybe the occasional video. ^^
This is amazing! Pls make this into a book
More info? Yay!
You say Dycratus is curved on a non-compact, infinity stretch of ocean. I will think of it as a hyperbolic plane then, lol. Maybe a patch of positive curvature in the negative curvature ocean.
I am very disappointed, for I wanted to know about the particle "le"
This is rly good inspiration for me!
I hope we can learn more about Dycratus in the future!
DO MORE OF THIS PLEASE
This is cool, please tell more stories.
This is great, and also looks (coincidentally obviously) surprisingly like the Refugium. It was made by another great linguistics TH-camr, Biblaridion, who specialises in conlanging (but also speculative biology). I’d heavily recommend him
IVE BEEN WAITING SO FUCKING LONG FOR THIS YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I loved it and want a series
That's actually a really nice video, principally lore-wise
SERIES NOW this seems cool :)
WOW I WANT SO SEE MORE
Can't wait for episode 2
Hey K Klein! I request you to please make a video explaining how to make languages and fantasy world and what are the free sites....
SERIES! SERIES! SERIES! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!!
This is awesome, but is it just me or is the mythos basically Hinduism?
Like, there's the trinity of "supreme souls" without definite forms; The Ghoul is basically Shiva, eschewing the rest of society and creation to live as a hermit and waiting to destroy the world (one of Shiva's epithets even translates to exactly "Lord Ghoul"). The God of Order is basically Vishnu, who is the embodiment of preservation and maintains stability in the world, makes several incarnations to achieve this, and floats around endlessly on the ocean on a circular island formed by a cobra's coils. The God of Chaos is basically Brahma, who creates the Seven Sages (Council of Barzûn), and with their help creates multiple races of creatures. The Lamentall are basically Devas, the Trektia are basically Yakshas, and Akrinogu ob-Altumârish is basically Vritra
I know pretty much nothing about Hinduism ngl, this comment has taught me more than the education system in the UK ever did, that's for sure. I mean uhhh I'll take your word for it, but these similarities are not intentional. This world is very informed by other fantasy such as Tolkien and Le Guin tho, and it's fully possible that they in turn were inspired by Hinduism in some way (I really havent looked into it that much, I know Tolkien was more of a Norse mythology guy and Le Guin was more into West Coast Native American mythology but people can take inspiration from multiple sources). I'll have to do some more research and see if Hinduism's mythos continues down the path that mine does, or if these similarities are ultimately just coincidences based on surface level descriptions of these beings on my part.
Some instant details I can give, for instance, is that the Ghoul will not go on to destroy the world, that Akrinogu is so unimportant that it never appears in the mythos again, that the Elder Dragon will only ever come to create one race. idk tho
❤wold building!❤
I NEED TO SEE THE CIVILISATION PART OMG THIS IS CRAZY COOL 😭 I WANNA SEE THE HISTORY OF CIVILISATION, ON WARS, ON MARGINALISATION AND THE SOCIAL WORLD. OMG PLEASE 😭. lol.
Oh, to have a wonderfully expanded fantasy world that I've been developing from childhood
Nice project
I may or may not have been doing the exact same thing when this uploaded.
2:58 Why does the old map look like one of the islands is a face eating their own feces?
cool stuff
Now all that's left is to make a flag for Dycratus
If you make this world a recurring thing, could you make videos on world building if possible?
This is the first time a “God of Chaos” wasn’t the villain and I love it
i have my own world too, And its modelled off of Medieval europe. unfortunately im having trouble making it all align, especially with the maps. and inconsistencies keep appearing
NEXT ERA OF THE WORLD PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU
I've been working on a project for some time, it isnt a fantesy, it is closer to altrenate history specultive biology entire language familys and some magic but not magic at the same time. So yeah its weird
language nerds and making oc‘s/fantasy worlds goes hand in hand istg
Can you please make something for learning Meyhendgar! 🔥🔥🤩🤩
how cool
Amazing! I'm also creating a fictional world and I would like to know how did you create the world map. Was it drawn? some software? website?
the map was drawn by my artist, unfortunately i don't know of any software or website to make it easier
Wonderdraft is really good in that regard, especially at creating realistic-looking coastlines and nice colouring of the landscapes. As far as I remember it's not free, but it's worth it, since I've been using that for years now and it really helped me create some pretty fantasy maps.
There are also other resources like Inkarnate, but I found Wonderdraft the easiest to use.
I want more
yay finally
my fantasy world also has a god of chaos whos linked w dragons in a way 💪💪
Damn, the Elder Dragon is a real one. Cool dude.
Lemark referenced 🎉🥰😍🤩❤️💕
The film John Carter calls Earth “Barsoom”, isn’t this uniquely similar to your Barzun?
*applause*
❤
k klein it's my birthday today
happy birthday
Happy Birthday!
This video must be your gift. Happy birthday! :)
@@kklein thank you k klein :3
HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY TO YOU
this looks alot like the elder scrolls, and i like it.
Am I the only one, who thought Menizario was gonna marry the ocean spirit when he prepared a ring?
K Klein a flat earther? Forget earthsea I’m here for seaearth
pt 2 when?
Is the adjective "leguinian" or "leguinesque"?
Maybe I am overthinking it, but by eating the ring, do you not also, by definition, consume the hole?
i would argue no, the hole is gone but you did not eat it.
@@kklein I suppose that is true. I guess my perspective is just different. I imagine if the ring is unbroken and the hole still exists, as long as it has been consumed, the hole exists within the belly of the beast as well. But regardless, really good video! It's fun to see a fantasy world where the language is well thought out.
quick question, why are all the dragons, who were created by the God of Chaos, look so similer , and like stereotypical dragons, I'd think that a chaotic being who create things in completely different and strange ways
hey kkkkkkklein
This user might be the next Tolkien.
5:03 So I guess you can say it's a.... *CANON EVENT!*
I'll be hear all night folks and please don't bang your head on the walls from the cringe, they cost more then your than your salary! Especially yours Shela! (*laugh track*)
*you still owe me 5k*
Never knew you were Swedish
waow waowwaow
wow hello
Isn't that just the hobbit world from tolkyn or whatever
What are you smoking?! 😂
Want to know about more meyhendgar language

If humans are gen12, then is AI the 13th?
4:20 so why is Finnish there but not Estonian? They are so incredibly similar that it would be relatively easy to impliment. This is coming from an Estonian so take it with a mountain of salt.
tag yourself i’m great ghoul
