Pan Am 8578 It took off from Kings International Airport at 8:59 PM It flew over the water but started to drop altitude rapidly but the pilots got it back up Engine 1 then exploded and the pilots couldn’t extinguish it, then Engine 2 exploded also and damaged the wing they tried getting around onto the runway but realized they had no controls and say their goodbyes they hit the water and the aircraft ripped apart A couple people survived but later died from hypothermia and ammonia
