Joao fetched for a Plateau and not a Taiga when cracking is fetch at the beginning of the game! We only realized it later, so in case you noticed here’s the “correction” 🙏🏻

This is almost always how stax games go. I'll give Winota some credit for being faster than traditional stax, but it's almost always "remove hate piece end of turn, win." It just takes 3x as long.
hey guys great games as usual. so my lgs (wpn) is organizing a non-sanctioned cedh tourney but they're giving us helper cards as proxies cause (according to them) this is wizards policy. but then I see you guys using those sweet playtest cards and wonder if you guys are also playing at a lgs (wpn) and if this is a risk for u guys to play with those cards or if my lgs is just being lazy and don't want to print out decent proxies. I would love some clarification on the matter. thanks
Hi Cristian! For non sanctioned tournaments i dont see any diferences using playtest cards over helper cards, basically its the same! You’re replacing a card for something that serves that purpose. We did our tournaments in a lgs yes, but now we are moving location to a conference room. I guess its store policy, but chek our rules on the matters of playtest cards we will link bellow, you have a clear distinction on the playtest cards section docs.google.com/document/d/10Sf3yDoIZmVr0PQ8f9vVwqJnXkiqL9UnVJsq2cPWuIw/edit?usp=sharing
Instead of casting grim monolith just cast Kraum and start attacking the ad naus players life total. Each Kraum hit is potentially 4 cards removed from an ad naus
When he was at 3 life and you have a chance to cast Kraum and attack with menace and Kraum and kill him, why wouldn’t you do that ? You gain 11 life and kill another player that you don’t need to keep around
I would have found myself playing against a winnota and a combo player with 20+ cards in hand by myself Mario knew that and that's why he did what he did, he basically created a greater threat than he was and with the hand i had at the moment the Tasigur player would most likely win, by keeping Mario alive we could very quickly kill the Tasigur player. If João had used his silence in response to Mario using wishclaw which by Mario's talk at the time led us to believe that he was going to use it to get consultation or tainted Mario wouldn't have won and i would probably have in my turn since i praetor's grasped his peer into the abyss or ad naus(cant remember which one atm). Anyway just to give you the insight of the table during those plays

I don’t think it was king making because there were 2 rule of law effects on the field
That’s true! And it seems to have worked out just fine in the end for Mario
I am actually so glad Mario won. He earned it at a Pod with a salty Tasigur to his right

2:01 fetch for a Taiga
Fetched for a plateau! Was a mistake only detected after. There’s a pined comment correcting that, but thanks for the heads up 🙏🏻
Can I do a take back on that silence? 😅
I guess it’s a bit late 😅
With notion thief out does the player of brainstorm also have to lay 2 cards back on top of the library, on top of forgoing the card draw?
It was my missplay but yes i need to put 2 cards back on top

Also don’t confuse proxys with playtest cards! It’s kind of the same but it’s not at the same time
GG to Mario
Was indeed GG!
interesting
Thanks for your comment! Hope you enjoyed the game
