I have to agree- for me (serving member, not in the British Army) , beards are quite an anomaly. Currently only Australian Army members with medical waivers or religious waivers ( ie we have Sikh soldiers) can wear beards in Army or else you have to be the ASM of an engineer regiment-you know, the guy who carries the axe. Does not apply to the RAN however!
The Rock is such a small place....a regiment only serves as a symbol of authority...No real strategic value...Anyway....I salute them....We had a similar TA regiment in HK before 1997...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Agreed that it is a small place, but it is also a place of strategic importance, at the entrance to the Mediterranean and facing North Africa. The importance is indicated by the fact that the Senior British Officer is a Naval Commodore, it also played a key role in the liberation of the Falkland Islands way back in 82.
I as a war vet I don't think beards should be allowed because it's scruffy and not smart at all only one person should have a beard and old sweats should know who he is
Best regiment in the infantry 😮
As a ex CBNE Instructor cannot get used to seeing soldiers having beards.

Soldiers with beards? Nah!
On an officer, it looks particularly disgusting.
Beards are a disgrace to the Regiment.
can you try to explain that
Why?
“ Back in my day “ time to move on shagger
I as a war vet I don't think beards should be allowed because it's scruffy and not smart at all only one person should have a beard and old sweats should know who he is
why?
Two in a highlander regiment though? After all pipe major?
I agree they do look very scruffy, the only one allowed to have a beard in my time in the infantry was the Pioneer Seargeant.
Mongy

Why?
Mom kicked you out of the basement?
spat your dummy out or what
Why has he now chosen to hide his face? Talks "super heroes", not actually deployed then?
