Thank you very much! Hope you are doing well on top of the mountain!!
Hi can you leave a link on your fuel line video, I have this generator. Thank you for the info.
Thanks for the video, I'm going to give this a try having the same issues. Thanks again 👍
Thanks, I appreciate the comment and I'm really glad you found it helpful. Please let me know if this fixes yours.

Hello, welcome aboard and thanks for watching.
Thank you for your video. I'm having the same problem with the exact unit. About to take the shut off valve off now. Just drained the gas. Thanks again.
Glad it helped
thanks for the link. Just bought this exact generator from my neighbor and this seems to be the problem. Hopefully!! Thx
I hope it helped. There is a link to the petcock in the description. Please let me know if this is successful for you.
I would suggest just get extra fuel line for backup. Chances are if you have one small engine you have more. Fuel line is typically the same and ethanol fuel is going to deteriorate it sooner or later. An extra grommet and valve probably not a bad idea either provided you are organized and know where it will be when you need it lol
Yes sir, Louis. Generator, wood chipper, power washer, and two lawn mowers all have Briggs and Stratton engines. And I’m not counting the Stihl chainsaw! Back up parts is a great idea. I try to run lo-lead aviation fuel in my small B&S engines. Or ethanol free when I can find it. I’m due for another trip to the air strip for a refill. Thanks for the comment.
Very helpful video. I just hope that Amazon beats (Hurricane) Ian to our house! Thanks!
Oh man! Stay safe over that way!
So Im getting fuel to the carburetor but it will not stay running. Its cranks up with carb cleaner but shuts off right away. . Do you think that its the carburetor?
Sounds like you float might be stuck. Have you pulled the bowl off? Most times the detergent in fuel will gum things up. Use ethanol free or better yet 99 octane low lead aviation gasoline. You can buy that at any small airfield. Small engines love it
I have a Coleman power mate 6550 which will start but die within seconds. I’m currently doing research to see what the issue can be.
Pull off the carb and give it a quick overhaul
We try to run ours once a month. Ugh very important prep!
Yep, I learned the hard way, that's for sure. Wont happen again. Thanks for stopping by Catskill!
3:24 That's a much easier choke lever to work with than mine has.
Amazing how that fuel shutoff valve just appeared in the grommet. That must have been an easy insertion.
Ken, it wasn’t that difficult, but I had difficulty getting video of it, so it is what it is, right? LOL! But I do appreciate you watching and leaving me a comment. 👍
WOW! HCH has gone Hollywood.
Hahah!! Thanks! I’m trying to keep it entertaining AND informative for my loyal subscribers! LOL! I really appreciate having you along all this time.
I had to go new….electric start brother! Dual fuel!
Yes sir! I remember watching that video you put up when you received it! I'm jealous, hahaha! We're looking for a new one as well. I haven't sold the "dual fuel" concept with the wife just yet. A work in progress, for sure. Thanks for watching and for the comment. God bless.
Sorry, was wanting a video that actually shows the repair... taking things apart and putting back together... not skip the steps.. thanks anyway...
Apologies Kathy. I thought I did explain how to do the repair. But I’ll keep your comment in mind for the next time. Thanks for watching and for the helpful comment. God bless.
I don't start after sitting for an hour. Ha!!
Hahahah! I know exactly what you mean! Thanks for the laugh!
