I think that is what a lot of guys appreciate about you: a lot of us can relate to you. You seem like a regular Joe. Your hodge podge of various tackle trays look like the same assortment that many of us have in our boats. Minus a dozen rods or so...lol
Before I didn’t know where to start of what to buy and what to use cause I didn’t know what worked, nobody really taught me. After watching your videos I have became a huge fan where I look up to you and invest my time of knowing what works and what doesn’t all thanks to you. Favorite set up right now is the DT 6 chartreuse brown with blades treble and of course flipping bandito bug. Keep on doing what you are doing and thank you for being a passion to a lot of people
Holy Cow! Now I want to see the video of what is left in your boat. I would bet if you did that video you would end up taking more stuff with you. "Oh yea, I might need that,...and that.....and that". LOL Thank you for the video.
@@WheelerFishing man I can’t even imagine. I’m sure sponsorships help but obviously there was a time before you made it to the big leagues where it was all out of pocket. Originally probably like a lot of us, where if the wife knew how much you really spent on tackle you’d be single 😂😂
Jacob, I imagine that one of the reasons you are so successful is how prepared you are. Thanks for sharing how you prepare for a lake you haven't been to before. Good luck hope bring home the big trophy and bucks.🎣🐟
And people think I take too much stuff. LOL Always have to be prepared especially for practice days. I always hope to have it narrowed down by tournament day. Love you videos.
To know that what went into that boat is but a drop in the well to the total amount of tackle he has in his regular boat, truck, and at home. And more is but a phone call away.
Are you in Grand Rapids, MN for this tournament? I lived up there for a year working a project. Beautiful part of the Country. I loved fishing all the Lakes up there and actually live on Pokegama the whole time. All the people were Minnesota Nice!
35 rods and reels.. Man I have 1/5 that many total...Great video J.Wheels good luck in the championship. BTW if you happen to give a few of those Rods away to Charity....Call me a Charity 🤣
You can have that job lol. I would never want to be the one responsible for rigging someone’s tackle when there is 100k on the line.. could you imagine a knot slipping when they’ve got a 6 pounder on their line? Fuck that haha

In the future can you do a video on how to start tournament fishing

These are my favorite types of videos. Hope to be there one day too
That box full of jackhammers (“vibrating jigs”) is probably worth more than all my tackle haha.
Bruh.. he has probably like 10k worth of tackle if he was to be buying all of that himself
@@Legion_Dawn595 you don’t want to know how much money I’ve spent on tackle...

I love how the very last thing you grab is the classic pack of zoom. At least thats what it looked like.
Wheeler have you ever thought about “raffling” tickets for a day/weekend of fishing with you?
"I could rig up 3-4 more rods but that would be too much "
Love it
I'll be honest that's pretty much how I feel just going fun fishing. lol I have a problem.
Jake, I'm gonna need you to get that Rapala line stripper. 😉 They don't sponsor me but it helps - and I only change my line a couple times a year.

Edwin?
More real talk. Please post if y'all ever have a garage sale! I'm make the 14 hour drive from Texas! 😂
Was nice to finally run into you and Bradley on chic today. Wish you the best of luck on the rest of the season.
Thanks for stopping and saying hi!
I’m just waiting for the one day you roll through cda idaho! Already got to meet Carl jocumsen now just need to meet you and bmp!
Looks like it's at leech lake maybe ? They are in Grand Rapids MN
Great video, hope you win them all next year
Fishing around Grand Rapids!
And that's what $100,000 worth of rods and tackle looks like fellas. Also what success looks like. Keep up good work JW.
When are the videos for this tournament going to drop?
Jacob How long do you think it has taken you to get organized with your tackle
Good luck Jacob I will be praying for you.🇺🇸⚓️
What knot do you tie for floro to floro???
And people think I take too much stuff. LOL Always have to be prepared especially for practice days. I always hope to have it narrowed down by tournament day. Love you videos.
Was this lake vermilion that you are talking ?
so when do you choose one boat over the other ? and why
When is the event and what channel can I watch it live on?
I hope you do great at your next tournament!
do soft plastics mess up tackle boxes?
Hey Jacob in the future could you do a fall transition fishing video, on like how to fish it
are you fitting all that stuff in a z18??
How close is it to airing?!
Hey Mr. Wheeler, what rod would you recommend for fishing a jerk bait? Love your videos, you teach me so much!
Konner Holt I’m not Mr Wheeler but usually a medium power/fast action is ideal.
Zach G Thanks what about length rod ?
These guys nailed it. 6”6-6”10 is what I prefer. Medium action with the fast tip is solid.
Thank you all for your help
Also make sure butt on end of rod isnt very long it gets in the way..
To know that what went into that boat is but a drop in the well to the total amount of tackle he has in his regular boat, truck, and at home. And more is but a phone call away.
J Wheeler, if I was in your spot, I would just re-rap my boat into those colors with the amount of baits and rods you have 😁😁😁
Didn't show the 35 rods going in the 19' boat. U are just using the left side? Depending on spinning rods I only get at most 18 in my old Tr 19
Yeah they take the insert out in the very front so it’s easier to fit more in
No spinnerbaits or buzzbaits/ploppers?
I’m just wondering how can he make fit 35 rod and reel combo on a bass boat filled of tackle lol
Are you with 13 fishing because you can see the logo on your boat at 2:28
yes he is👍
Yep I work with 13 fishing on the hard baits side. Still working with Rapala and storm as well though
What if there was a newly made product that made taking the line off reels 10 times faster? Would you be willing to try it out?
Berkeley makes a line remover and it works pretty well
I love theses videos and looking in boats hope I have to do that one day

I wish I had half the problem of having that much tackle!
when is this championship, im looking forward to watching it live?........DING!
Will be on TV later this year
Minnesota!!!!!!
How to make a 20 foot boat fish small...
Keep up the hard work
When is the world championship?
I never knew bank fishermen had it so easy.
😎
i wish i had that many duckett rods and reels
@Braden Fuller of course u do
Bring plenty of truffle butter lol!!! For real though, stay safe and go win this thing!
Haven't been following much these past couple weeks but why is J Wheel moving to a different boat? Is it for the tournament? Or just a change-up.
Its for the MLF World Championship.. boats are provided.
I’m not sure there’s even enough tackle to rig 30 rods
You got more combos than i do baits lol
Are you not using your own boat?
35 rods and reels.. Man I have 1/5 that many total...Great video J.Wheels good luck in the championship. BTW if you happen to give a few of those Rods away to Charity....Call me a Charity 🤣
First like the vids bro keep up the hard work
And I think 5 combos is a lot 😂🤣
Mille lacss
Or the chain
Geez u think you could give some tackle away
What about a buzzbait box?? You of all people have to have a buzzbait box.. course you probably have 7 tied on.. lol
I actually keep those loose in a little bag. So I didn’t have a box of them to pack. Lol
i know wheeler is just about the top angler right now, but 35 rod n reels is ridiculous...
Real talk Jake. You need an assistant to rig up for ya, I'm for hire! 😂
You can have that job lol. I would never want to be the one responsible for rigging someone’s tackle when there is 100k on the line.. could you imagine a knot slipping when they’ve got a 6 pounder on their line? Fuck that haha
I’m speechless
100k subs soon
I'm sorry but that's beyond overkill
Trike this comment if you want to be there one day.and I don't understand why u don't use the red white and blue boat
For the MLF world championship. They provide a boat to each participate for the tournament.
Makes no sense why they just can’t fish out of there own boats this never made sense to me
why so much ???
