97/98- 2002 was the best 5 years for me as a Leeds fan
Lucky enough to be there for the 2nd Div title win and Championship wins. (Pl and Championship now) Was at Bramall lane when we won it. So nowt will outshine those days but by God I'd take any midfield between 92 and 2002 over what we have now, Kalvin gets a pass. 92 Batty and Kalvin in Midfield... unstoppable
My best seasons were 89 - 92. 3 proper seasons.
@@helvete983 sadly I was born in 1986 so my first year was 1995 for turning into a Leeds fan. Yeboah speed McCallister weatherall Deane brolin Kelly dorigo Wallace mark beeney era. Coca Cola league cup final defeat mid table finish and then the 0-0 snooze fest of 96/97 didn’t turn me off and was rewarded/spoilt with 5 years of bliss from 1997-2002

If we stay up, regardless of if Raphinha, Phillips and Bielsa stay, we need that stadium expansion. Elland Road with a 55,000 capacity would be a fortress.
It’s not really priority though at the minute as it would be no good half empty if we go down when all the fans disappear as we no they do...
It should be a fortress now with 36k inside but the players can't seem to deliver the goods.

Yes like the 74 charity shield. 😂 liverpool only "respect" sides they beat regularly, accept they are not as good as liverpool and throw in how much respect they have for the liverpool fans in the way they "stood up" to the establishment over Hillsborough. Wow!!!! Great sweet nostalgia when football was amazing, no stupid VAR & Leeds were a proper solid team, feared and respected in Europe. I only hope we see another team like this in my lifetime 🤍💙💛

@Think Again Bit like Man C then as Sterling is going to Chelsea and Jesus is going to Arsenal. Also Mane left Liverpool to go to Bayern Munich. Every club even the PL Champs lose players but replace them and we replaced Phillips with Roca from Bayern Munich before Phillips has even gone. I guess Man C and Liverpool are jokers as well then for letting their players go.
@Think Again All teams sell players and replace them is what I am saying. Also Haaland would come to Leeds if we could afford him seen as he once said HIS DREAM WAS TO WIN THE PL WITH LEEDS. He even went to training in his LUFC shorts when he was at Borussia Dortmund. Wouldn't say Nunez is a top Champions League Player to replace Mane tbh!
