@@silentcyclist saving children's lives has nothing to do with Christ? I am in Ukraine, and I see with my own eyes a lot of killed civilians. There are many Christians here who are starving and need help. They need support (nobody asks to support that pastor). Our Lord Jesus Christ teaches that if you could help Christians in need, but did not, then you treated Christ that way. I'm talking about true Christianity. This is the situation when God manifests true followers of the teachings of Christ.

@Silent Cyclist They protect their home, their children from marauders, murderers and rapists who have come. Protecting the weak is a direct commandment of God! Pacifism has nothing to do with Christ. Your country is protected by soldiers and policemen. And throughout the history of Israel, God saved the people through warriors, like David. In Christianity, this rule is not abolished, and God never changes. We are told to love our enemies, i.e. treat them fairly, even in war. But we are not told to love the enemies of God. You equate the victim and the aggressor. Perhaps you are a fan of Putin. Here are some verses for you to understand Christianity in its entirety, and not in part:
Luk 3:14: "And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said to them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages."
Rom 13:4: "For he is the minister of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid; for he bears not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath on him that does evil."
      + Luk 14:31
Isa 1:17: "Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow."
Psalm 82:3 “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and oppressed.”
(How will you keep this commandment? How will you protect your kids from the aggressor without using force?)
Luk 22:35-38: "And he said to them, When I sent you without purse, and money, and shoes, lacked you any thing? And they said, Nothing.
Then said he to them, But now, he that has a purse, let him take it, and likewise his money: and he that has no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
For I say to you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said to them, It is enough."
Luk 7:8-9: "For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say to one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.
When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turned him about, and said to the people that followed him, I say to you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel."
Acts 10:7: "And when the angel which spoke to Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continuall;"
So, you judge unfairly and accuse an innocent brother who is acting in accordance with the commandments of God. If you continue to judge him so unfairly, then God will send you the same situation so that you try to walk in this brother's shoes.
