So nice to see someone sharing their minimalist and realistic apartment. This is what most American homes look like despite what social media wants us to believe. Eventually, you’ll be able to add more (if you truly desire to)! 🌻🌻🌻
@@self-carewithlia978 thank you so much!!!
This is kind of refreshing to see because most of the videos up on TH-cam are aesthetically pleasing videos. My income per year is only less than 15 grand a year. But I've also been living on my own for the last 23 years. A majority of my stuff was built by my cousins because of my balance issues good furniture is really hard to find. And I've had it for more than two decades And I move a lot due to circumstances beyond my control so it helps. Most of my decor I've had for years, things that my nephews and nieces have made with me or from the dollar store. As long as your space is homey to you and as long as you're able to function in it that is what matters. My thoughts on the minimalist thing and I'm not judging is that everyone is different and has different tastes, different budgets, different lifestyles and different hobbies which depicts what people see as minimal. For example I have a lot of baskets and bins from the dollar store they work awesome it's functional and I've had them for years and I still get well you have a lot of baskets and bins yep I have balance issues and things need to be on my level. The biggest culprits for this or even my family what do you think they'd be more understanding of but they're not. I have 17 tote boxes for my entire apartment. That includes kids stuff, the cat stuff, my stuff, some what's my mom's and grandmother's stuff since they have passed. I have a bachelor apartment 300 sq ft of living space not including the long hallway or the bathroom. So the point here is keep doing you and enjoy your space.
@@Justbooksmusiccatsandapen well said ! Stand on your boundaries! whatever it is that works for you and makes you happy❤️ always so much to be grateful for
Shreveport, Louisiana native, I’m subscribing 1 cause you from Louisiana and 2 you humbling me when it comes to me decorating my own places thanks 😊
@@prissy_krissy thank you!!
Your apartment is cute and clean!
Very cute! Maybe add some framed artwork? You can use the renter friendly Command Strips to hang them. Maybe some artwork that has some pops of color with some gray mixed in. You could hang them all at the same height to make your eyes flow around the room. Maybe measure the width of your walls to make sure your artwork isn't too small or too large for your wall spaces.
This is a very realistic , minimalist , clean and beautiful apartment tour.. thank you. Be grateful and stay blessed. God is good! Amen❤
@@Jamie-m5t amen!!!!
I love your place 🙌🏾 And you’re so right: Goodwill definitely hikes up the prices smh
@@_PAIGE94 unless you live in a nice area with name brand quality donations I don’t think it’s worth it anymore
Sheer long white/ivory curtains would make the space look cozy in the bedroom and living room, a large faux sheep rug in the bedroom with neutral fluffy pillows would help too and moving your bed from the corner to the center of the room
You're doing a good job ❤. You got this!
I love your place- so warm, cozy, and simplistic living. Thanks for sharing.
Keep pushing God will bless he is faithful.

I also think you were very smart not to take the upgrade, because this apartment is very nice!
Thank you for sharing! It’s refreshing to see another Louisiana based creator on TH-cam sharing her reality. I’m based in Baton Rouge. You have a nice apartment and continue to take your time with decorating. It will come together with time. 😌💙
@@LindaLynn93 that’s so awesome thanks for sharing where you are from🥰
Nice apartment
Your place looks great! Love the huge closet! So cute! ❤
So proud of you!❤❤ love your home !
@@reallyfeCearra thank you 💕
Oh, sweetie you are doing just fine. Instead of using the sticky flytapes, use the ones that plug into the wall. It doubles as a nightlight and you don't have to see the bugs
I love that little couch and for 35 what a great bargain

Thank you for sharing . I’m of an age of before TH-cam and I only saw inside friends and families homes and I always now feel privileged to be invited to see someone’s home and I feel especially privileged to see yours as you talked so lovingly about your home and you are blooming where you are planted 🌸 and I smiled all the way through . I’ve 👍🏻 🔔. 🇬🇧💛🤍

I literally pay 2000$ for a studio in Toronto that’s not as nice as this I’m trying to get out aha but Canada is so unaffordable
I wish I could have an apartment just for myself, one studio here (Maine) is almost 1300,1400. And one apartment with one bed its almost 1700/1900 its so sad :( i don't wanna life with roommate anymore
@@cristianederoo it gets better! also remember cost of living/minimum wage etc is different. I know it’s easy to compare with social media. I hope the economy changes

Why the dog don't go bathroom outside ???? Aint no way
@@DawnWhite1210 I work full time and live by myself I don’t feel comfortable taking him out at night time by myself. Training him to go outside would be inconsistent. I do what works best for me 😊
