I so love when I find an artist as brilliant as Benjamin Clementine after he's been on the scene for a couple of years so that I can be reminded of how vast the world is and how very little of it I discover. Finding this artist is a real high point.

I've been surprised she hasn't become more of a global phenomenon, but in a way I'm glad she hasn't. First met this song when it first came out before 6 years while I was 11 years old and the "condolence" part had stuck in my head. After 6 years I came again to truly discover this paradise.
This is a rollercoaster. The song builds and builds and builds, never quite getting to the pay off. It is like Benjamin is taking a running jump at getting to the crescendo, it peaks in the music but every time not quite getting there. And then Benjamin at 3:16 tries again and reaches the peak at 3:43, and from that point we're absolutely flying downhill. That fade out just leaves you wanting more, so I press repeat.

Last year I listened to Benjamin's voice for the first time through his song with Gorillaz. Just few days ago, I was bored with the music I was listening to and decided to listen to something "new" on Spotify. Suddenly his name came to my mind so I clicked this album. It's a blessing. Really worth my time. One of the best albums I've ever known. I bet he's great for live show. Fave tracks: Condolence, London, Adios, Nemesis, Gone, Winston Churchill's Boy, I Won't Complain.
