Agree! 70s was the best decade for rock! No other decade compares! Today’s music has no soul! Lots of pop and electronics! A lot of rap which other than the lyrics and timing have little talent and certainly not the soul of 70s rock! You had to live the 70s to know the difference!
When Syd left. David is pink Floyd. Compare sounds. When Syd was it,you got 'piper at the gates of Dawn' style. Then David came. That's when Floyd morphed into the sound that everyone is familiar with. Only difference is David kinda took over. So in my opinion David made the sound that is now pinks well known sound.
