You hardly ever see Gadd using double kick pedals. This whole concert was incredible. The DVD is definitely worth buying.

For all of the styles/genres of music Steve Gadd has made a living from,no double pedals necessary!!!In fact,most working drummers don't really need them at all,lol.
I got to play this bass when he was in Barbados...got to hang out wit him back stage and he signed my fender! One the greatest experiences of my life!!!:)

I like how MM i able to play something extremely funky and inspirational while someone else is playing their solo, without moving focus from the other guy. Its so perfect that it sometimes takes 1 or 2 times of listening to notice all his nice little tricks during a track.

Anyways i may say there's something special happening when i listen to the way Pastorius accentuates some notes, the place where he puts the notes...etc...I think there's a difference here. I'm talking about musicians that make music, not about those who emulate those who had a vision that we can feel. They communicate. The others are parrots

Makes me think Marcus took a huge blast or a (crack hit) before he started going all goofy on that 'E' Strings' tuning peg - omg that poor Fender J/P Bass - likely w/ some custom work done on the pickups and bridge, but yo!
