Yani & Fabio, just a fun fact, if the dish is too vinegary or sour, you can remedy it by adding 1 to 2 tbsp of sugar to balance the flavor. Also, if the dish has vinegar in it like adobo, refrain from mixing it. Let the vinegar evaporates first and then you can now mix it. But overall, you've done a great job! Keep it up.. Next, adobo please..
Well done, guys! At home we do escabeche with tuna. I feel like there is no ultimate recipe, it's just like adobo where every lola or mama has their own take on it. I must say, your take on escabeche looks soooo good! At home we add a tad bit of sugar instead of the sweet and sour sauce to balance out the acidity of the vinegar. There is no right and wrong, what matters is the sweet and sour taste! At our school canteen they even add scallions, tomatoes, and red onions to make it look more colorful! 😍
You guys are so funny together! I watched from your earlier vlogs and i remember few years back you guys announced that you were going to do travel vlog series.... am i right? but the pandemic hit so i guess that did not happen. I started watching your channel again recently with your philippine visit series and remembered how much i love watching you guys together! Looking forward to more Fabio Eats and more content! ❤
Sautéed 4cloves of garlic minced 1 whole union thin slice 1/2 inch ginger cut into strips slice 🫚2 pieces tomatoes slice and 1 red bell pepper 🌶 cut into strips and 1/2 cup carrots 🥕cut into strips 😊3tbsp brown sugar and 1/2 tbsp chicken powder or bouillon cube 1/2tsp ground black pepper 3tbsp banana ketchup or regular ketchup is totally fine too 😅1/3 cup venigar 1tbsp cornstarch dissolved in 1/2 cup water 💧 then taste if its needed salt 🧂 or black pepper or seasoning soy sauce just go a head 😋 here my own version how 🤔 i make my escabeche fish i used pompano 🐟 if you guys wanted to try my recipe 😅
i suggest to try sarciado pesca next. i use canned diced tomatoes and a tbsp of salted black beans with the scrambled eggs. still ok without the the tausi ❤
Great job, Fabio! Looks delicious! Just a bit of hint in the future, always brown garlic first as it makes the dish and oil aromatic, then add the onions, etc. Otherwise, you did great! 😊
yazzz for the garlic press!! 😇 i have that whenever i cook coz i dont wanna eat garlic when its not crushed.tip: after pressing the garlic, use the knife to scrape the garlic .😅 and you need to add little sugar to neutralize the acidity of the tomato ketchup.and saute the bellpeppers and onions a little longer (like when you have roasted onions and bellpeppers that taste flavourful)😇 yani's mum should have that garlic press as she does lumpia 😇😇 P.S -i still love the Fabio eats -where everything is possible 😂❤❤
I eat my Filipino food on the salty side too I’m exactly like Yani, I refrain from putting too much salt 🧂 for my fam when I cook but I have my saw-sawan on the side. 😂
Hahahaha my only advice is just relax..... Both of you is too excited with whats happening. And prepare everything in advance. Specially the garlic . Also cooking is a process so enjoy it and dont stress out. If you add too much salt you can always add more water. The more you love cooking the tastier your food will be. Mga vaklang itwoh! Hahhahaaha And when you put the vinegar, let it cook first, dont stir it for atleast a few minutes. Relax guys and youll be fine.
All you had to do was add fish sauce and 2 beaten eggs and it would have been perfect. No need for sugar, ginger, pineapple juice and all the other things people are mentioning in the comment section. 😂
This new segment of Fabio eats and cooking, love it! So fun watching you guys and seeing the dynamic of your relationship!!😊

I remembered u yani cooked lumpiang shanghai. May a part 2 of lumoiang shanghai?
In Leyte, we use vinegar, soy sauce and sugar for the sauce with julienned bell pepper, carrots and a lot of ginger.
Adobong pusit is up next 😁😁
I love that menu... Good job Fabio and Yani...
It looks like sweet n sour fish rather than escabeche, escabeche usually has strips of ginger and carrots.

i suggest to try sarciado pesca next. i use canned diced tomatoes and a tbsp of salted black beans with the scrambled eggs. still ok without the the tausi ❤
That looks good! Try tortang talong (eggplant omelette) next. That's very easy to cook.
Great job, Fabio! Looks delicious! Just a bit of hint in the future, always brown garlic first as it makes the dish and oil aromatic, then add the onions, etc. Otherwise, you did great! 😊
Wow, ginisang Sardinas na scrambled itlog po...next
You two are so fun!! 😂😂 Enjoy your cooked salmon escabeche😅😋😋🍣🍣🐟🐟
Wahhahaha..funny fabio, got so stress😂😂. You should add "baby ginger" it will taste better..
mix sugar with a lil starch to make a bit sticky
Add ginger and pineapple
Niceee oneeee!! Preseeeeent ❤ love you both!!
Love you both ! I enjoyed watching your vlogs !
Am so proud of you, guys! Next dish, I suggest Adobong Pusit or Tortang Talong 😉
Congrats fabio. Your certified pinoy cook.

You guys are so funny! Happiness overload!😂😂😂 Kapampangan here watching from New Jersey.❤️
Buono 😋 Salmon is such a delicious fish and good for you. You should cook adobong pusit (squid).
proud of you guys!
Congratulations !it's looks yummy❤❤❤
It should have ginger though…cornstarch for thickening
you are supposed to put sugar and ginger to that...also add julienne carrots to make it more aromatic..
Whenever I cook fish, i add ginger and patis (fish sauce), you will taste the difference... wishing u guys all d best from Houston 😊
Nice cook different dishes
The stress you guys while I'm watching as if it's in hell kitchen. 😅 you guys need to make more cooking videos! 🫶
That's "Fabio cooks and eats " right? I enjoyed watching you guys cooking together❤
👏❤try sarciado isda,.or menudo but using biscocho (toasted bread) crumbs as sauce thickener
Where*s the carrots and ginger?😊
oh i love escabeche ❤❤
I eat my Filipino food on the salty side too I’m exactly like Yani, I refrain from putting too much salt 🧂 for my fam when I cook but I have my saw-sawan on the side. 😂
you guys are too cute and funny lol
“Too many cooks will spoil the broth” 😂
Chicken adobo next please!
Use pineapple juice & pineapple tidbits ( or chunks) instead of vinegar & a starch not flour, half cooked sweet pepper & union.
Fabio and Yani next time do the julienne cut to all ingredients
need to fry the fish more (that's the concept of it) and add a little bit of bouillon in the sauce next time
Try to cook shrimp sinigang
holy shit. definitely try adobo you foodies!
Try and try again until you are happy with your recipe. Instead of salt, you may want to add soy sauce for saltiness and umami flavor.
I remember you bought ginger last time Yani and carrots.. but you forgot it. 😅
Will be more yummy with pineapple tidbits so no need for sugar.
❤
add pineapple next time :)

Fabio struggling is so funny but at the same time stressful to watch😭
Tortang talong is next
While watching im thinking. You guys bought ginger yesterday for escabeche but didnt put ginger in the recipe. Hehe
Lol. Chaotic cooking. Beautiful mess😅 looks yum🤤
Where is the ginger?
You need to deep fried the fish so that its gonna be crispy.
wash the fish first the drain or tap with paper towel.
All you had to do was add fish sauce and 2 beaten eggs and it would have been perfect. No need for sugar, ginger, pineapple juice and all the other things people are mentioning in the comment section. 😂
you dont have luya or ginger too ba without it its not really an escabeche too bad
Put sugar
You just cook escabitches😂😂😂😂
You need sugar
Hola guapas!!👋 Saludos desde Barcelona!!!❤
