Oddmunn Brunvoll begynte i familiebedriften Brunvoll som 15-åring. Nå er han 86 og er stadig innom fabrikken. Her starter han en Brunvoll L50 på 63 hk.

Brunvoll made wonderful engines, but I would say all Norwegian hot bulb engines ran like clockwork, no hit and miss attitudes in any of them. Listen to Wichmann, Finnøy, Union, Brunvoll, Volda, Rapp, and others. Just like clockwork, and smooth. That said, a worn out engine does not run as smooth as an engine that is well kept and maintained. Still they were famous for having their own sound, so people could identify the boats coming in with fish based on the engine sound.
