Been on the hunt for big bags for next year!!! I’m going organic for next year!! Trouble has been finding the bigger bags! Great video and happy birthday bro!!! 💯💯💯
I believe Miracle Gro is 15-30-15. I do use the liquid at the beginning of spring, but I dilute it down quite a bit. Outside of that, I use a granular fertilizer from Japan for the rest of the grow season.
🎂 happy birthday!! Funny I also almost exclusively use holly tone and miracle gro - I buy the giant holly tone bags in the spring and apply it once a year on practically everything in my garden - I use miracle gro more as a reactive treatment for plants that look like they need a boost when they are in stress
I would have chosen the Citrus suggested fertilizer over the Tomato sugested fertilizer, Nitrogen can be flushed out but phosphorus binds to organic soil particles and builds up over time. No good for plants that stay in the same pot for years, I avoid higher P numbers
I agree 100% with you my friend. I’ve killed two lawns in the past because I didn’t understand the movement of macro nutrients and I was dumping bags of Milorganite like crazy.
It’s not about preference, it’s about money. How much $$$ per Lbs of N. This huge bag made sense to me. Next year I will use an organic fertilizer (Holly Tone) as a first application of the year and then I’m switching to Synthetic liquid fertilizer for the remainder of the year because it doesn’t contain Phosphorus.
@@MapleNutz It can not be about money. They are the exact same price. Plant Tone just does not have the added sulfur and is a general fertilizer while Holly Tone has the added elemental sulfur and is thus a fertilizer for acid loving plants. I had never heard of japanese maples needing or wanting extra sulfur before and so that is why I am wondering about the choice of holly tone vs plant tone. I think that you are thinking that I am talking about synthetic vs organic. Holly Tone and Plant Tone are both organic fertilizers from the same company.
Great info as always. Especially towards newbie’s. So I’m going to experiment with miracle gro. You said you apply it every two weeks for the whole year up too the end of September. Since it only does last two weeks. I’m gonna do that with my higasayama. I recently put it from a one gallon to a three gallon pot. How much would you recommend? I will buy it tomorrow.
I well aware of. Sorry, back then I was just starting. I did a new video today and I need to edit it. Thank you for your honesty, it’s always appreciated. ✌🏻🍁🥜

You can always go Milorganite, it’s 100% organic and I recommend it for JMs. It’s a Lawn fert but it works awesome on anything.

Miracle gro has a few ratios. The one Im using is 24-8-16 (3-1-2 ratio) i love using this thing. Id use it on my cereal if I could. 😂
Happy birthday bro 😎 thanks for all the vids and info, gracias 🙏🏼
Appreciate it! 🙏🏻
Happy Birthday, great video, have a great day!
Thanks so much

That’s an awesome fertilization program. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

You need to also compare how much product from each brand is required. The Espoma products require a lot of product and frequent doses.
Happy belated (late) birthday friend! Very informative and useful video. Thank you! Which particular miracle-gro do you recommend?
Thank you very much. The Miracle Gro that I recommend is the the one with NPK 24-8-16 because it’s a 3-1-2 ratio and plants love that ratio.
Happy Belated dude!!
Thanks!! 🙏🏻
I love Osmocote.
#Maplenutz Happy Birthday 🎉
Thanks 🙏🏻
So you would go with holly tone vs plant tone? The only difference between the two is that holly tone has sulfur. I had been using pant tone.

At this point my suggestion is, do not fertilize any more. Now is the time to watch your maples turn and get ready for winter dormancy.
You are talking unnecessarily out of the topic
